It's been a while I haven't played a Pokémon game since Pokémon diamond but I'm really interested now that Pokémon x and y is coming out also I wouldn't mind mystery dungeon and animal crossing but should I get one will I get one and then a new handheld system will come out? should I get the 3ds or 3ds XL? what do you guys think?

Well if you are wanting Pokemon X and Y than yes get a 3DS. Not only that but the 3DS has an amazing library both retail and digital so there is no shortage of games also while you are waiting for X and Y you could get Pokemon Black and White and Black and White 2 and play them on the 3DS as well. I personally would go with the 3DS XL cause of the big screen and it just feels like its better build then the 3DS.

But which ever one who chose you wont be disappointed.

Um, YES!!! The 3DS is on fire right now and new games (old ones too) keep coming out. I'm glued to mine right now. I haven't spent this much time tied to one game system since the first few months I got my 360 back in 2010.

Favorite Games: Sonic CD, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, and Call of Duty: Black Ops, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, and Mega Man 5.

The Animal Crossing special edition wouldn't be a bad place to start.

YES!

The 3ds is an awesome system! XD

It has an amazing library of 3ds games & if you want to do DS games it plays DS games as well as 3ds games.

Get the 3DS!!!

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

The XL is a better redesign, get it. Also, going with Nintendo's previous consoles, it's 4 or 5 years between each new console. Look at the DS, still going strong after 8 years.

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

XL if you want as big as currently possible or the regular if you want if you're considering the cost. Even if you don't buy DS and 3DS games for it, there's still plenty of games in the eShop.

If you like Pokemon you ABSOLUTELY need a 3DS. X and Y are gonna be huge and seriously the best game since G/S! The mystery Dungeon entry is good, and there's plenty of more spin-offs to come! Plus the system has other great games like Fire Emblem: Awakening and Kid Icarus: Uprising. These two games alone will get you a solid 100 hours of fun!

You might wanna do something about that... fire can't be good for the system...

Anyway, if you got the money, you should get it! The Animal Crossing model seems like a cool place to start! Also, I wouldn't worry about a new handheld coming out, that's probably still 4, 5, maybe 6 years down the line.

If you like Pokémon, then get the system. However if you don't, then I'd say skip it. This has got to be Nintendo's worst console for first party games since the virtual boy..
