Unless you're broke or a 5 yr old I don't think you should buy it. By the looks of it though if you wanna save money go for it also X and Y is coming out so you should go for it get the red one it's the least of the uglies.
it could be someone with giant monster hands too, or someone that wants to chop wood, socialists?, those guys in the internet that buy videogames to make videos of them being destroyed there are the guys who like modding their gaming machines too since it's cheaper it might be a magnet to modders...

Kinda' choose some risky words there didn't you?
You're saying that anyone who likes/has a 2DS is either a 5yo or broke?
Wow, great idea...
I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone, I can admit the error of my ways and for that I apologize.
Also not to be rude but why would anyone take a 2DS over a 3DS if they have the money? Especially over an XL
EDIT: NVM I saw someone's reasoning for the purchase of a 2DS though some reason were pretty weird XD
I was deliberating this as it is good for the price and i wasn't overly fussed about the 3D. but in the end i still bought the 3DS XL purely for the size of the screen . I now love this console.
it cheers me up during my unemployment period
Ok,thanks . So,2DS will be like 3DS,only without 3D and with different design?
Yeah from what I read on nintendo's site it's exactly like the 3ds except without the 3d effect. Plus it depends on which system you prefer the 2ds as opposed to the 3ds. I have a 3ds & 3ds xl & adore both. I love my 3ds & 3ds xl just because nicer to play on for me personally.
The 2ds look's ok but personally it reminds me of a leapfrog something designed for little kids as an educational toy etc blehh.
No offense save the money for the 3ds though. If you don't care about 3d effect's then get a 2ds. It's up to you.
Happy Gaming! (^_^)
Something tells me the 2DS is going to be even more uncomfortable to play for any extended period of time in adult hands than the original 3DS was.
Apparently it's much more comfortable than it looks, according to Kotaku and a few other "first impressions" I happened upon.
Hi,I think I will buy 2DS,but many people say it´s ugly. But do you recommend me it? I don´t have money for 3DS/3DS XL,so is this worth it,or it´s better to save some money and buy 3DS or the other console? Thanks!
Why not! If you cant afford the XL dont care about the 3d but still want to get it it seems like a great bargain

Glad to hear you went with the XL. It's a truly awesome device and I hope you enjoy it in good health!
I think the regular 3DS systems are better, but 3D being the only option missing from the 2DS seems like a pretty tempting offer if you ask me.
I see you bought an XL, but anyone thinking of doing so shouldn't hesitate jyst because someone else thinks it's "stupid".
My brother has the Animal Crossing XL, and he said he would have bought this instead, if it would have been available.
EDIT: I like the 3D, BTW. That's what made me interested about the system in the first place, besides owning every Nintendo system and having fun with them of course.

I agree with you on this, and I love the 3D as well, though that had little impact on if I bought the system, Pokemon is why I stay with Nintendo portables. Whichever someone does buy, the system is awesome, it's not just the 3D that makes it so, nor the physical design, those are mostly subjective anyway, it's the platform that makes it awesome. The collection of games, the combination of Nintendo's standard elements, and new development standards of Nintendo make the 3DS/2DS the best thing in gaming.
