Hi,I think I will buy 2DS,but many people say it´s ugly. But do you recommend me it? I don´t have money for 3DS/3DS XL,so is this worth it,or it´s better to save some money and buy 3DS or the other console? Thanks!
From what I understand the screen sizes are the same as the original 3ds. I had the original 3ds and because I found the screen sizes to be too small for me, I "upgraded" to the 3ds XL. My advice would be to try and get some play time on the different consoles in store if you can and make your decision based on that.
Honestly if you can I would save up for the XL. The bigger screens on the XL are really nice to have compared to the smaller screen of the 3DS or the 2DS. The size is alot better too cause at least for me my hands would cramp up when I used the 3DS especially when playing Mario Kart 7 for a long time. If you are one like me and can't stand the 3DS effect you can turn it on and off on the 3DS and 3DS XL which is how I play.
Really if there is no way you can save up for the 3DSXL than yeah a cheaper alternative for you would be a 2DS or even the 3DS but honestly I would just save up for the 3DSXL you will be happier with it in the end. I know I was.

Yes, you are right. Everything is the same as with the 3DS except for no 3D function and the design. You can still play all the DS and 3DS games. Also, you have the same online functionality as the 3DSXL.
@Raxonn: As far as comfort goes I am not sure cause I have never held a 2DS lol. But I did read that the screen size are the same as the 3DS and right there after using the 3DSXL that is just a turn off for me.
As I said if thats all you can afford is the 2DS to enjoy some of these great 3DS games then yes its good. I would rather have a 2DS than no 3DS. Really if the 3DS effect doesn't matter to you then yes the 2DS will be just as good as the 3DS.

Yeah from what I read on nintendo's site it's exactly like the 3ds except without the 3d effect. Plus it depends on which system you prefer the 2ds as opposed to the 3ds. I have a 3ds & 3ds xl & adore both. I love my 3ds & 3ds xl just because nicer to play on for me personally.
The 2ds look's ok but personally it reminds me of a leapfrog something designed for little kids as an educational toy etc blehh.
No offense save the money for the 3ds though. If you don't care about 3d effect's then get a 2ds. It's up to you.

That's a good question. I'm a casual gamer- got a Wii U in April. I got curious about the 3ds bc I've always liked handhelds and from what I read on these boards, so I took the plunge and ordered one- the very day I received my 3dsxl, they announced the 2ds. My GF has liked it so much that she is considering getting a 2ds just based on cost alone. My mom has liked this, so I think she might get one too. I'll wait a week or two and see what people say about it....
I don't think the 2DS will be awkward to play with. Years of experience with gameboy color and advance tell me it's just right.
For an adult's hand, it would be quite the contrary, since the area is bigger you need to force your hands less to "claw" around the pads, face buttons and the shoulder buttons and there's more space to rest your other fingers on the back.
Unless you're broke or a 5 yr old I don't think you should buy it. By the looks of it though if you wanna save money go for it also X and Y is coming out so you should go for it get the red one it's the least of the uglies.
