The 3DS is powerful enough to run- Say a game like GTA IV but without the physics engine.
And once you think about it- Without the physics engine GTA IV is the same as GTA III to be honest...
I think they should just kill the whole portable liberty city thing off completely and make GTA San Andreas Stories for PSVita and 3DS to go alongside GTA V. It would be cool because all of them take place in San Andreas.
CTW was maybe the biggest time suck of any DS game I ever had and I still never finished it. I would love to just have that ported over with 3d. The 3d perspective it used looking down was already fantastic, but with actual optical 3d I would buy it again in a second. (a sequel would also be neat but even the original CTW in 3d would be plenty for me)
i believe the 3DS can handle it its just the matter of time before rockstar will accounce it

A little off topic, but since you are a Ren and Stimpy and/or John Kricfalusci fan, what did you think about "Adult Party Cartoon"?
Anyone wish they re released Chinatown war on the eshop?

Ethically, I don't think GTA belongs anywhere. However, I would be eager to see how the 3DS handles a free roam game with no limits (beating people over the head with a bat and stealing their car only to drive it headlong into a boat as you jump away from the horrific explosion into a woman walking down the street).
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
I think they should try the old style of GTA on the 3DS. Maybe put the Game Boy Color one (yes, GTA was indeed on Game Boy Color for all you kids out there) on the eShop to test the waters for that type of game.

I don't know who started this thread, but let me tell you that I DO NOT support the Grand Theft Auto series one bit. It's taught young children at the age of 13 (or below, who knows), that beating up hookers etc is acceptable, whether it's hookers or anyone in particular. Also yes I know what the games are like, I have friends who've played them in the past and I've watched them play it, so I definitely know what i'm talking about here.
But i'm not blaming the children entirely, I know this is talked about often but I have to say it, Why on Earth aren't parents bothered to do anything about controlling content for young children?? I mean every country in the world that sells video games has some sort of classification system (all thanks to Mortal Kombat), It's also ridiculous that retailers are allowed to sell a mature game to a child on some occasions, even though it's usually through an adult who buys it for their children, I've seen it happen A LOT.
Anyway a 3DS Grand Theft Auto? possible, but who's gonna stop children from playing this type of game? parents barely have any control over what kids play and the 3DS is hot at the moment, it's very popular with kids now and I didn't think I'd ever say that a year ago. We're definitely seeing more hardcore titles and for adults or others who are uneducated about video games (like my parents), there isn't anyway to distinguish the maturity of the title apart from the cover art and the rating and most of the time adults (of which I speak of) don't take much notice or interest in these aspects. I know in Japan they have black 3DS cases for more mature titles, but nothing like that exists here in the west.
Look, I don't like to nag about anything, but when I was a kid and I was only just into games, we still barely had a ratings system and my mum was responsible and wise enough to at least monitor the games we bought our selves and for us for birthdays, Xmas etc, but now we ourselves can have anything on our handhelds etc because we're mature enough. What i'm saying is that kids should be kids and developers and companies, especially nintendo, should still be watching the amount of violent games they have published and developed and who they are marketed towards. Plus I think personally parents need to be educated more or least grow some common sense because buying violent games for tweens is happening far too often these days.
I have to admit though that I can't control any of what's going on these days, but we still need the good old fashioned know-how and responsibility, even in this day and age.
