I don't see why anyone shouldn't be offended by the sexuality of this game...just look at the marketing
People should never be offended by any of the sexualisation in games really. It all comes from a completely fallacious view of the difference between the sexes that came out of the feminist movement. The actual reasons that women are oversexualised a lot more than men has got nothing to do with some kind of oppressive patriarchy, it's just because men enjoy that sort of thing a lot more than women do.
Or it's actually that most men really just have no idea what it is that women find sexy and tend to take that for disinterest. In most female driven things like say Lifetime, Cosmopolitan, romance novels, yaoi manga, etc. you don't have to look very hard to find sex and fanservice.
What is and what isn't sexy is pretty subjective anyway. I swing both ways and I personally don't find these girls all that sexy (cute and moe? yes). Their ridiculous breasts and bottoms are comedic to me which I'd take a hunch was the intention in the first place. The "over-the-top" proportions and sexual innuendo are fun gimmicks but I was more lured in by the fact it's an all female brawler and haven't been disappointed by the characters and their stories. Maybe I just have a different idea of what's shameless porn because besides the female's bodies and the occasional pervy innuendo I find Burst to be a pretty straightforward 2D brawler with a admittedly weak plot but plenty of character development happening in between. Honestly, I'd say anyone who was considering this game for the "sex" would be better off hunting down some good torrent sites.

@PrincessSugoi and @Unca_Lz have you ever gone to the manga section of a library and noticed what the yaoi to yuri series ratio is.. yaoi is marketed to teenage girls primarily rather than gay males.

I'm not really sure why this changes anything. I just don't see the point of oversexualizing characters

Well, if you want me to get all geeky about it, the sort of results you hear from psychology and anthropology tend to suggest that while being young and attractive seem to be the these 'core' triggers than men obsess over. The core factors that women tend to like are things like confidence, social standing, wealth. Which is why if you find a relationship where there's a 20 year age gap, you can almost guarantee it's a young girl with an old guy.
I hasten to add, none of this is my personal opinion. I'm just from a scientific background, so I tend to get a lot of chatter on these types of things.
Speaking of female fanservice, I went to see X-Men days of future past with a bunch of girls needless to say the biggest subject after seeing the movie was Hugh Jackman's naked butt -_-

They've released a gag video making fun of both themselves and VR headsets in order to help promote the game. As always, uh, there is some humor some might find offensive.

Ack, why won't NicoNico let me watch it with my gamepad?! The niconicovideo app isn't even available outside japan...
Improvement sound pretty solid on paper. Had quite a bit of fun with the first one, but it got repetitive pretty fast. Hopefully they don't take out the novel aspect of the first one. Reading the story had a unique sort of charm to it. If I wanted to watch a bunch of action cutscenes, I'd just watch the anime (I tried, I made it about 10 minutes into the first episode, it's awful).
I see the moral crusade is already in full swing long before the game even has a confirmed Western release though.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
@CaviarMeths I also hope they keep the novel aspect I really liked it a lot. The anime was terrible and like 100,000 times worse than the game when it came to fanservice. It just felt like it was more fanservice, less story and action so I skipped out on it after 3 episodes.

I hope they make the novel parts optional in the next one. I hate booting up the game, geared up for some great 2D brawling, only to be forced to read screen after screen of text.

Wow, that was hilarious. They need to mass produce those.

Is the Manga any good?
I knew there was a manga but I have not read it. I'll try looking into it but if the fanservice is really bad just like the anime I'll probably skip out on it. I'll let you know if you haven't already looked at it by then. I can look past fanservice but if there's nothing else that's good enough to hold my attention I tend to not bother with it (which is why I gave up on reading kenichi).
