Hell man you should know better then. If you have kids, that TV with the PS3 on it is going to have a lot of kiddie time on it where you can't touch the PS3, and if you or the wife are uptight about T/M stuff around them more options have become limited to time and free hours. A handheld you can do whatever, they can't see if it you don't let them, and you can carry it around and whip it out whenever for 5min or 2 hours.

/random crap on why I think my opinion that 'the 3DS is better than the PS3' is right and your opinion is wrong
bleh, don't expect much from a nintendo site. Not even counting the amazing upcoming titles for the PS3, its backlog already blows anything released/announced for the 3DS.
This wasn't about whether the 3DS was better than the PS3 it was about whether or not it was a good idea to sell the 3DS now for some cash when they're aren't many good games and maybe pick up a redesign later. Regardless of how good the PS3 lineup is it is NOT a replacement for a 3DS in the same way that a Wii, WiiU, 360 or PC are. If Samholy was asking about whether to sell the 3DS and get a Vita or iPhone, that would be a different story (I'd still be siding with the 3DS though, just for different and less convincing reasons).
Now if Samholy was talking about selling the Wii for more cash to buy PS3 games I'd be much more sympathetic to the idea....... I wouldn't do it because Skyward Sword is worth more than anything on the PS3 IMO but I'd be generally more sympathetic to that then getting rid of the 3DS.
why did you get a 3DS again? Did you lose internet access for a year? Did you lose a copy of OOT and/or Star Fox 64 but found them later?
I at least had the excuse that I wanted to be able to afford new games for the rest of the year and decided to get it when nothing was coming out. Why are you so dissappointed about what you already knew about the system?
also I'll be amazed if you would get enough money for more than 2 PS3 games anyway (maybe not even that?)

I'd sell 1000 3DSs for a PS3.
It's easy to compare them actually. PS3 > 3DS
You'd sell 1000 3DSes? That sounds like it would be a waste of money, and I mean getting the PS3 >:3

Be careful, you might regret selling it one day, especially with your ambassador games if you got it before the official price change....Anyway, I'm starting to think my 3DS might be a collectors item.
I think it's a pretty simple decision - do you think you will want a 3DS at some point in the future? If so, hang on to it - as Skywake said earlier, you won't sell it for enough to buy a new one down the track. To avoid losing money, keep it.
However, if you're certain that you won't want one in the future then get rid of it. Just remember that it's not actually costing you anything to hang on to it, and you may find it worth having one come a year or two's time.
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
yeah. once smash bross comes out, i will carve for a 3ds if i sell it. or even a brand new original zelda. or even majora's mask, since i never had a chance to do it. heroes of ruins interests me even more with the latest news they gave.
i already said it, i will keep it ! thanks for all the feedback. and no, i wasnt here to compare anything, yes i said i was stunned by the ps3 more than hwat the 3ds did to me. yet. but theyre different entities, for different gaming needs. yesterday, a friend of mine let me burrow a couple of ds/ps3 games, so im good for a while, that will help me to keep some money for future games
in the end, im just glad i didnt do a bad move and sell right away my 3ds

I hardly ever play a console anymore. I love my handhelds.

Makes sense, not everybody is so lucky that their wife would allow a family playroom(with more than one TV of course) or a gaming console in the bedroom. So I can see the convenience of 3DS (Reason why they should not make the games, you know) and Vita.
