just got a ps3 , and i am seriously thinking to sell my 3ds. upcoming ps3 titles obliterate what nintendo has to offer. skyrim, battlefield 3, then ext ratchet and clank... i dont see a 3ds title that wow me much. they all fall into the can be interesting category.
putting my offer on kijiji, the thing comes with a bunch of stuff, like a 16gb sd card, the nyko powerpak+ and much more. i love my 3ds, but i cant afford to ride 2 gaming consoles, so i chose the ps3. i would like to sell it to someone who will be a nintendo fan.
I would keep the ds and mostly go used games and download. Stuff. Thats what im doing for my 360 only buying new 3ds games this year and moat of 360 purchases are going to be used or xlba. Only expections may be sonic, skyrim, and most def mass effect next year.
WAT!

I'd keep mine if I were you. I'm in the same situation, actually. I've got a PS3 too and the lineup of upcoming games is looking pretty impressive. However, I'm just as excited for what the 3DS will have to offer in the near future. I'm going to keep both and buy the games I miss out on used once their values drop a bit.

There's nothing coming out yet that he wants, though. He could always get a cheaper one when the awesome games are out. It's not it's the only one he'll ever have...

Unless he buys it for less than he sells it, it's kind of a waste of money anyway.
Just sell it now and regret it later

The only thing I really play on PS3 is Call of Duty. Everything else was way too hyped and truly disappointed me. But get Metal Gear Solid 4. It's the only reason to own the system. for srs.

thanks for the feedback. im still uncertain. i use it like, everyday in the bus. i could keep it for a picross console for a couple of months hahaha I got to check used ps3 games sellouts in the meanwhile, and happily found out they were cheeaaapp. i could get like 3 older ps3 games for the same price i get a new 3ds title. still thinking about it carefully, maybe i'll get skyrim and wont play much things else on my ps3 for a long while. the same happened with oblivion on pc. it was the only game i bought for a year.
and... smash bros ! smash bros melee was the game that played for years on my gamecube. Thanks for pointing that game out SamuraiShyGuy
Keep the 3DS. By the end of 2011 it will really have hit its stride and have an extremely powerful library and coming soon list under its belt. I mean...how can you NOT get games like Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7???
I see where your coming from, but put it this way. Do you see yourself playing the 3DS in the following years, and do you see that there will be more games released that you know you would enjoy playing? I say Keep the Handheld if you think that it will only get better, but I could understand why you'd want to sell it if you're low on cash. For me, I'm keeping it.
Naw you're pretty certain, I think you just want us to help you into tipping to sell it. That PS3 has you pretty hot to go, and there's a huge back library you can exploit which the 3DS lacks. Personally I'd keep it, just because the PS3 will keep you busy during the day when at the TV, you can't take it to bed with you, you can't take it in a vehicle, lunch breaks at work, or whenever else. Just because the library is slim now, it's not bad, and what shows by Christmas has a lot of insane potential as does the stuff missing the holiday into the first quarter of next year.
I have a PS3 too, I got it because 3rd parties burned me and most other Wii owners with mostly turds, lies, and shenanigans. The PS3 fills my need for fun games on the big tv, and it also triples as a netflix box and blu-ray player. I can't wait for ICO/SOTC to pop into my hands, and definitely Uncharted 3 as it's my favorite series by far of this generation of new material. But I still enjoy the 3DS a lot for when I want something in my hands and not stuck on the TV or having to worry about sharing it with the wife.

Sell your useless 3DS and enjoy your real gaming console.

I don't understand the logic here, with this sort of mentality you're just throwing money in the bin. If you play it everyday and are likely to want to get a revision later or rebuy it when games start to come out then why would you sell it now? It's not like second hand consoles sell for anywhere near the new price.
I paid something like $200AU for my DS Lite back in '05. If back then I had decided that there were no new games and I sold it for something like $120AU I'd have that money in my pocket. If then later or even now I said "I like this new DS game, let's get a DSi!" I wouldn't have saved money. Even now the DSi is $170AU new. So if you want to play 3DS games later your best bet is to keep your 3DS, don't sell it, ignore revisions.
