Just because you do not personally agree does not in and of itself make the review 'crappy'. We get that you're disappointed with the review here, but as always, we do encourage everyone to read multiple reviews if possible (thus the link back to Metacritic on every game and review page) before making a decision as to whether or not to make a purchase.

There's a glitch in the cutscene for Chapter 3 where it will freeze if you have 3D on! I was really scared but it worked after turning the 2D off.

If the review would not have so mabny flaws i would not be that upset.

Musou Attacks: "You'll be busting these attacks out all the time, whether you mean to or not, and before long the fun of the combat wears thin." - If you play the game on anything else beside Easy you wont do that. Because at that point you wont mash buttons.

Missions: "If these were required conditions for winning, the game could have been much more challenging and a lot more fun. Sadly though, running around attacking enemies mindlessly until you kill the right one works just as well." - Again if you play on anything besides Easy you will notice that the loss of Moral (and failing Missions will decrease your Moral) can and will kill you. Even to the point where pawns will be a threat to you.

Character: "Most frustrating is the simple task of telling a character where to go. If they encounter any enemy, even non-mission targets, they will stop to take up arms." - This is just wrong. I have seen other Officvers that i told to run to certain location passing up all other opponents.

Conversations: "There are some opportunities to choose responses that will either increase or decrease how much the warlords like you, but these come up infrequently and add little to the actual game" - Having a friendship with a different officer will allow you to use their weapons (and armor?). So they add a lot to the game.

Conclusion: "Sadly though, you can do pretty well in the game by simply running around and mashing the attack button at anything that moves." - You can only get to this conclusion when you only played the game on easy. So the review was done in a difficult mode where you did not have to use the strategic effects of your combos or actully trying to complete missions.
If i play SC2 on easy i can also just build up a ball of units and click attack. Then that game would not be a 90s% title as well.

I did not expect a 8,9 or 10. The game got some issues (the game is very difficlut and can lead to many frustrating moments, the camera is not perfect, etc.) and the story might not be interesting for everybody. But the game is no way a five. Personally i would rate it a 7.5. Would i rate it from the fun i am having i would rate it a 9 but that would not be objective.

Thats the main problem i have with the review. It was done by someone who seems to had no interest in the game at all.
Let me quote Corbie Dillard from his Super Monkey Ball 3D (A game i would never gave an 8 but i understand the reasoning behind the rating. Got the game as well and that review made me look at the game in a different way.) review: "..but those who can open their minds up to something a bit different might actually find the game a fun and engaging experience."

Yeh it seems random but it seems for everyone who it hit(I saw a topic on Gamefaqs) that turning off 2D solves it so it's not a big deal.

Yep it happened to me too Oregano. Could not for the life of me figure out how to get past it until i read that same thread. If the game freezes on anyone at the beginning of chapter 3, slide the 3D off.

Tecmo Koei have sent out a message to let the fans of Samurai Warriors know that the free Samurai Warriors: Chronicles DLC is starting today on the 13th of May. The additional content is available via the Nintendo 3DS SpotPass function.

The DLC being released in the coming weeks will include extra scenarios and StreetPass weapon downloads. This will be happening every Friday for the next 21 weeks which is pretty impressive.

Yay!! Glad I bought this game because its still gonna be a few weeks before we are getting the eShop.

Somewhat off-topic question. Are the cut scenes in this game HD? or do they have that low resolution?

DLC is out now. For real this time. Check your Spotpass notifications. Its a weapon you get by winning a Streetpass Battle.

Well the DLC adds a Streetpass Battle to your system. So if the 3DS is flashing blue and you got the message you should check your Battles.

Hey anybody try out the latest DLC. Its quite a nice little Gaiden level, im looking forward to the next lot of downloads...
looks like Tecmo are going to be a company to watch on the 3DS because their new release also has DLC coming out for it starting from today, hope this will become a gaming standard with 3DS games.

Yap Samurai Warriors and Dead or Alive are getting so much DLC.
Hope other companies will follow up on that example.
