I love this, game, surprised nobody seems to put it on top ten 3DS lists. I guess it just really isn't for everyone though. I have played about 70 hours and could conceivably see spending another 300. There's just so much to do, and I still have hardly done any requests.

Could you imagine what it would be like if you had something like a pokedex you could fill up for all the monsters here? I would find that pretty awesome.

I haven't seen every post in this thread, but what weapons do you guys use? I use a combination of dual blades and staffs.

I would easily put this game in my top 10 favorite games for the 3ds. It made me realize that i can enjoy sim type games. Currently playing Animal Crossing and looking forward to Fantasy Life + Story of Seasons. Yeah I could see myself playing this game beyond the measly 60 hours that i've put in so far. You sure get a lot of bang for your buck!

Bumping this, wanted to ask....seems nearly impossible to get new recipes (besides equipment). Is there something I'm missing, wanting to try to get the missing farm tools, and the rest of the cooking stuff. Also, what's the best way to grab rare items from bosses, need various scales and all that to make some new armor. I'm on the last story arc I think, and need to make something so that this weird elephant boss thing doesn't kill me in one hit. xD

Also...WHERE'S TEH PLATINUM?! Ok that's all, lol

My goodness, finding platinum is ridiculous at times. I believe you can find actual Platinum Ore on your second visit to Leon Karnak, and it looks like Sapphire Ore. You might only be able to get it inside Leon Karnak though, on the clouds it's all Orichalcum.

Figures, haven't gotten that far into that area yet. And all those bosses are a pain at this point. TwT

Grimoire 2 is just op as ever. At the floating island place, there's platinum in the boxes but I've gotten unlucky and opened like 20 before I found one. You'd best sell one to Raven (or however you do it, its been a while) so you can buy more from her.

Figured her stuff just changed every now and then, not sure if I fought Grimoire 2 yet...is that the one on Leon's place? Or Prana?

To get new recipes with the recipe breads, you just need to level up the respective skills needed to make those recipes.

Well I've been raising the cooking skill quite a lot (I'm at 80, I think), and just haven't gotten anything, dunno what else I'm missing. :c

Did you get 80 hours in and nothing much interesting was happening anymore? That's why I stopped.

I'd answer but I'm stuck too. I'm trying to get to the point I can make pineapple juice but it's so tedious to be constantly making relax tea to level up.

Oh and, its in Leon. It's the giant dragon thing, and it's really just op as long as you're a lower level than it. (It was like 15 lvls higher than me the first time I got to it :/)

Pineapple juice is serious business.

You need to be an experienced gourmet to be able to crush fruit.

...That reminds me, maybe I should change the monster levels back to normal until I finish the final arc. xD

Nice to see this thread here, reading it made me want to jump in again. I do love Rune Factory games, got them all. But somehow I get sidetracked by other games playing this one. Maybe because you have to really be immersed to get ahead and I don't always have time for that. But I'm going to jump back in! Because soon we will have Fantasy Life on our hands, and having played the Japanese game I can tell you it reminded me a lot of Rune Factory!

I dunno about past games, since 4 is the first one I've played. But part of it could be the whole random event thing. Sometimes making it hard to continue since you need a certain event to happen.

True, and I do wish that they'd included some kind of Streetpassing to the game. But overall, a great game to play!

@YvoCaro While we're on a Fantasy Life tangent, you said you played the Japanese game already. Is there any sort of dating system in the game?
