Topic: Rumour new pokemon game to be unveiled at TGS!

Digimon is still around? I thought it died out around the time when Yu-Gi-Oh became popular?

I'm hoping for Pokemon Snap 2. It would work perfectly on the 3DS. You could use the 3DS as the camera using the gyro controls to look around you're location. Then view the pictures later in 3D.

Failing that I'd like to see something really unusual....

Please god, no more remakes. There's nothing remotely iconic about R/S/E to warrant remakes, and I'd still even argue that the original games didn't need remakes. At this rate, we'll see Black & White remakes in a couple of years.. how about some NEW games? At most, let us travel back to Hoenn in the next proper game. Wouldn't that be better than another frikken remake?

I'd like to see a R/S/E remake, but as Highwinter stated, a new game with Hoenn as a second region would be better.

Considering they did Fire Red/Leaf Green to get the 1st and 2nd gen Pokemans into the 3rd gen games and that they then did the same with Heat Gold/Soul Silver in the 4th gen to get the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen Pokemans circulating in the 4th gen I'm not so sure they need a remake. We can transfer pokemans from the 3rd gen to the 5th gen via the 4th gen so there's little reason for a remake.

If they did do remakes I'm sure they'd sell well but I know I wouldn't be rushing out to get it........ but if it was a third game in the 5th gen designed from the ground up for the 3DS? That's a different story!

Really? I doubt the only reason they fully remade those games was just to slap the old pokemon into the newer games.

The problem with your theory Skywake, is that Pokemon Colosseum featured the Johto starters as well as Pokemon you could not get in Ruby and Sapphire. Come 4th Gen, you could have gotten all 493 Pokemon without the need for HeartGold/SoulSilver.

Of course, naysayers based the possibility of HG/SS not happening because they said there was no need. Glad they were wrong, as the 2nd generation is my most favorite.

Since the 3DS is capable of DLC, Nintendo should have gamefreak make an entirely new Pokemon game (not next gen yet, though) and over time, release the ability to visit past regions. And then update the game so it can be compatible with the next gen Pokemon games.

Of course not. They were to take noobies' money without making a new game and introducing them to the old Pokemon instead.

The only part of this that is a rumor is if the reveal of the game will be at TGS. Do not lie; a new Pokemon game for the 3DS will be announced, made, and it will sell millions. There is no point in arguing that fact, whether or not you actually care.

Well, he's been proven wrong on two accounts in regards to game releases as far as I know. He can go for a 3rd if he wants.

Yes but you can get all of those Pokemon with two of any kind of DS and a copy of the some of the "old" software. To get the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen Pokemon in the 4th gen before the Gold/Silver remakes you needed specifically an older DS which they're no-longer focusing on and will eventually stop selling. To get the first or second gen Pokemon in the third gen before the first gen remakes you needed a Gamecube.

It's all about selling games but it's also about making it easier to get the old Pokemon in the newer games. Imagine if the only way to get a Charmander in Pokemon Black was via a Gamecube game through the GBA games into the DS games and then copied over to the 5th gen. As it is, it's really easy to get Pokemon from the 4th to 5th gen and I doubt they'll make games for ALL of the current 5th gen "unobtainables"

That was something that the first game was sorely missing. And I don't think Masuda himself would go on-air just to announce another spin-off, so the announcement is not Pokepark.
