This is really interesting.
If it turns out to even be true, will those who were going to get it originally on DS switch to 3DS if you're planning to get the latter?

I'd be more thinking it'd have something to do with an eventual sequel as opposed to a 3DS version of Okamiden.

Seems likely, considering the 50-title gap between Okamiden and Okamiden 3DS...

I've heard that it really depends on how well the DS version does...
Name is Joey btw.
I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
P.S: Great Jaggi says "Hey!".

An Okami game for the 3DS would actually make me buy a 3DS but in reality I doubt it will happen. I'm buying Okamiden but it's still probably going to sell as poorly as the first game did, .

No I would expect this to be a sequel rather than porting over the game.

I actually expected them to port this over to the 3DS when it was announced. This game just came out in the DS's lifespan too late and I don't expect it to sell well at all.
Capcom probably knows this and thinks it's probably worth the investment to up the graphics a little and make it 3D and do a quit port to the 3DS.Either way, whatever makes this game sell I'm all for it. Capcom keeps trying to push the Okami IP and it seems to falter.

Or maybe someone went "hey, we want people to find out about this game when they have a 3DS because it plays DS games" and decided to add it to the 3DS category (and could only do so by adding it as new game)
Do I think Okamiden will make the jump to the 3DS? It's quite possible, and depending on sales of Okamiden DS, even likely. Do I think this is a sign of it? No. But hey, gossip away.

I don't think they are going to worry about porting to the 3ds. It is releasing at the same time as the 3ds, but there are going to be an awful lot of gamers that won't be getting the 3ds at launch. As a result, a lot of those people will still buy it, and many of the early 3ds adopters are fairly knowledgable gamers that will know it is worth picking it up regardless of the console...

I'm still on the fence about this game : Clover is not in charge (my biggest fear is that the magic touch of the first one might be gone), but critics were actually quite good, so if I still have some money left, I might get it along with my 3DS.

Look how Black and White are doing...lol. I dunno, I'm sure we'll get a 3DS sequel soon...
