I'm really enjoying the demo so far, but I'm disappointed by the bare bones Rhythm Rally minigame. To those who have the game already, has Rhythm Rally really transformed into something lackluster? Is it even close to the epic scope to the Rhythm Rally mini games in the DS game?
Oh, and I'm playing the demo on a 2DS... so how's the 3D effect? Everything looks like it's played on the 3D screen so I'm guessing there'll be some nice 3D effects.
The originals are still there, don't be fooled by the shortened versions.
And in your case, that includes the dreaded Rhythm Rally 2. (which is now 3 in this game, lol)
Enjoying the game so far, though there is a load of unnecessary dialogue. Anyone know if Munchy Monk, the "Scratcho Hey!" DJ one, and the golfing one with the baboon are in? Those are my favorites.
I don't think the DJ one is in (or the GBA one for that matter), I can't remember....I'm sure one of the Munchy Monks are, though...
Also, haven't really messed with touch controls...
But yeah mine so far is Super Samurai Slice, way too catchy, lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Cool if Munchy Monk is on here, but too bad if the DJ one isn't. Though I did see their heads in the Lush Remix. :/
Also can I ask why you guys don't like the touch controls? I prefer them since it reminds me of Rhythm Heaven DS, but I don't see how it simplifies the game any more than pressing A.
By oversimplifying, I meant the games that have more complex controls beyond just pressing/holding A, all inputs are translated to "tap anywhere" which makes things considerably easier.
(Example, the game with the seals becomes "just keep tapping")
Also, flicking the stylus is gone (you just release it instead)... Although that's probably for the better...
@Meowpheel Ah ok, I see what you're saying now. I did notice that they simplified the controls from the Wii version like in Flipper Flop, though I haven't played that version yet. Might get it sometime since it's cheap, so I can see what the games are normally like on Wii.
I also noticed the flicking is gone, but I think I'm okay with that since I'd rather not break my old 3DS's touch screen.
The games from the wii game play exactly as they do here (with button gameplay).
The one difference is that originally what this game treats as "press B", used to be "press A and B together" there. Since in this one that would be a bit harder than on the Wii, the change was necessary.
Most of the games up until the green tower are actually all new, they may use the name and mechanics of older games but they're easier versions and use mostly new music. The original versions are included as "[game] 2".
