I was wondering about that myself. i read another comment from someone else that it was 15coins per weapons pack. Not sure how many there are per character though. I guess i haven't gotten far enough to unlock anything. Glad i saved my coins from all my walking around, still have 300coins ready to spend.
Thanks!! I've got like 80 something and don't want to spend anything untilled I find out how many coins I need. Find mii can wait. Its only the third time through anyways and I've got all the hats.

Okay, i figured out the play coins. Just go into the Weapons tab on the character select screen and press A on any of the question marks. It will say Access Denied, but then it will say that You Can Only Unlock With Play Coins, and it asks you if you want to use 10coins. You can only do this for the characters that you've unlocked. I still need three more to unlock. Oh, and there's a special one that costs 15coins, but i won't spoil it for you. Just know that it's a pretty cool weapons pack.
Would you recommend this game to someone who hasn't played re games much? Its not that I don't like them, I just never happened to buy a re game before.

What I'm afraid is that if I get all in Mercanaries buisness, then RE: Revelations won't feel quits as authentic and fresh even
hey waveboy, Thats a good point which you are making there ... keeping the freshness ... Well dont feel pushed towards something you wouldnt really enjoy ... Your play sounds more like work ( getting up with the crowd etc) I would say take your time and if Ocarina of Time got enough meat to sink your teeth into it why not staying at it ? Seriously i dont need a cramed out RE bonus map for june neither for july etc And i certainly wont pay 45 bucks just for a RE: revelations preview demo ... If i would ever feel to play mercenaries again i just pull out RE5 and enjoy the mayhem on widescreen. Otherwise i got the patience to wait for revelations and feel the fresh horror in the future with real play motivation going on.... highscores are so 80ties *cough *cough

Killamancer i wouldnt recommend it for you ! Better play the real RE games like the fourth or first part. RE was always about good link of story and survival ... RE5 only costs like 10 bucks anywhere and there you got mercenaries mode too and even versus mode , well depends on version if uncut or not .... Really the bonus mode "mercenaries" gets boring after 30 minutes , its really just combat training for the story mode in the real games , like training for RE3 , RE4 or RE5 all had merc mode without any extra cost included !!!! And yes in coop it gets even faster boring ? In 15 minutes ? oO
The frame rate issues and weird glitches from the sound of it are putting me off. how is the 3D effect?
you'll get used to the frame rate after a while, it doesn't really hinder your ability to fight much. the voice over quality is always going to be terrible but what do you listen to the characters for in this game aside from grunts and sentence fragments anyway.
the 3D is barely there, to the point where i can't tell sometimes whether i have it on or off. ocarina of time was so deep on full blast that it took a day or two to get used to it, this game's depth is equivalent to ocarina's with the slider just barely set to 3D. i suppose you could say that's a good thing since it doesn't ghost and the viewing angles aren't hard to keep, but it's so subtle you may as well play in 2D to get fewer jaggies and better battery life (maybe even a better framerate).
Havnt noticed a frame rate issue and glitches using 2D mode, which is my prefered gaming modeanyway. But had a look at 3D mode and although their is some depth to it, it doesnt add a lot to the game.

Having some good fun with the online... just wondered what peoples preference to attacking... do you prefer TPS or FPS mode. As Ive wanted to rack up more points ive started using Knife to injure and finish of with special melee attacks and find that the TPS mode is better for this, but using the bow I prefer FPS, problem is bow pretty much kills most things in one or two shots not giving you much chance to earn extra time and points.
