Topic: Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D

Someone had an idea to delete the save data by turning off/removing the game during saving to corrupt it.

Anyone know if that will work? Inconsequently that is.

Yea is only sucks due to the very very very short demo. Its the video that every one has seen, you know the only where the creatur comes out of the bathroom stal. I can't wait to get my hands on the full game don't get me wrong, I was just looking for some new action.

You shouldn't wait for the price to lower on The Mercanaries, it really is a fun game. With that being said I am a HardCore RE guy and the only other Mercanaries game I play was on RE3.

I loved RE4 and liked RE5, but never thought much to the Mercenaries mini game. I guess I just don't like fighting againt the clock the whole time, so I won't be buying this one. Plus, no Leon!

I'm having fun w/ this. Had to get my RE fix.

I'm really enjoying this game as well. The only thing that I'm not really liking about this one is that blood effect. While its ok for an M-rated game I don't think its as gorey as it could have been. Wish the was and extra silder for that.

Agreed! He was my favorite character in RE:4 and still is out of the characters I've unlocked in RE:M.

Another thing that great about this one is how you can mix and match. characters with all the different weapons. Rebeccas speed with Jacks bow Is a great combo for trying to rack up amazing kill streak with headshots only.

this game's giving me some very mixed feelings, i love the streamlining, never having to stop for items or reloading, and the game plays really well once you adjust... but the amount of content is pitiful. the first 8 missions end after killing 5 or 6 guys, they literally don't last 30 seconds. they're so pointless you'll never want to replay them again. then the next missions are just the normal mercenaries levels.... meaning they've passed off each normal mercs level as a 'mission' to pad out the total number. i'm also surprised that you can't customize the weapons and the perks don't change much... there's far less to do here than capcom leads you to believe!

about the save issue, capcom is really getting spanked. in case you guys don't know you can't erase your data or start a new profile, so what you unlock is unlocked permanently. anyone buying/borrowing the game from you has to use your profile with all your progress on it. retailers are refusing to stock the game since it conflicts with their 7 day return policies and it's getting bombed with 1's on amazon....

i personally care more about the lame job they did porting. the frame rate and audio quality royally suck and a lot of levels and characters that could have easily been there are omitted. for those of you who haven't bought it, it's about as fun as it looks but it's a terrible value. if you already have mercenaries on a console there's no reason to pay $40 to get a pared down version of it here.

I bought this game today and I LOVE IT! I don't really care much for the sava data, but the content is pitiful, I will have to admit that. But I have to say, It's really addictive and fun! The Co-Op adds alot to it, sure It's not the best value, but I'd totally recommend it. You can unlock new suits too, and you get a score for each character so you can replay all the missions with different characters, so it doesn't get boring straight away.

It's a pretty fun game, and I'd just go pick it up.
Not every game is gonna be perfect.

I pre-ordered and paid for this, but due to it not being released in the UK until the 1st of July and a chunk of my 3DS friend list being american I am so green with envy. To make it worse when I got in from work every other advert on TV was for this game.
I know I have it, ive paid for it but im still just waiting to get it in my hands.
I understand why some people are miffed that it is a collection of the console mercenaries levels ported over to the 3DS, but then Street Fighter was a port too. Its just nice to be able to play Resident Evil on the go and the mercenary levels are just bite sized enough and the online makes it worth it for me. Looking forward to revelations too, but I would imagine that I would probably spend my time playing that at home and not on the go so I wont be distracted...
did I mention that im green with envy that everyone and their dog has got this game while Nintendo Europe tease us until its Friday release!!! grrrrr

don't let my ranting put you off, the game is really fun. i'm amazed at how well the controls work with single analog, there's barely a sacrifice and the visuals do look really good when enemies are close up. it's just that it's a rip off when you see what easy work it took to port it and the price you're paying. still worth it if you really like the mode and want to have it on a handheld, but had they not rushed it out they could have at least had all the maps and characters.

Is this game a main series RE game or more of an extension of the Mercenaries mode in RE4?
I think I'm actually more interested in that Other RE 3DS game. What was it called again?
The one that takes place on a ship.

it's an enhanced port of just the mercenaries bonus mode from re4 and 5, nothing else. the other game which is a full entry is revelations. there's a one minute demo of it in the mercenaries and it looks really good from what you can see.

Oh well in that case I'll pass on Mercenaries. I could never do very well on that with RE 4 anyway.
I've been waiting for a real RE game. Revelations looks pretty promising.

Hopefully they'll fix the framerate issues present on merc.

Is the online just for friend codes and/or playing with a random player?

Both. They give you the option to either host/join a friend or a gobal match.

Online play is for friend codes and global matches. Although i was getting an error code last night when trying to get online. The game is awesome in gameplay and in graphics. I've been playing it since i got it yesterday and i've not run into any glitches, hiccups, slow frame rates or anything like that. I absolutely love this game and glad it's my first 3DS title. The demo included just makes me want Revelations even MORE!!! The demo is worth it as well, even though it's only about 5min...it actually scared me so that i jumped at one point in the demo. I was playing at night, and with earphones.

I already have this payed off just need to pick it up tomorrow.

Looking forward to playing with some of you here.

Just got my copy of nintendo power and they gave it a 7.5! Havnt read it yet though. Got a feeling nintendolife will score it an 8 though.

Just ordered my copy from sears..shall be getting in by July 8th >.<' such a long wait. Hope everyones enjoying the game with all these crazy reviews around the web.

NintendoLife gave it a 7/10. Not bad but i think it deserves at least an 8/10. But then again, that's just my opinon.
