Topic: Rayman 3D

Hey,

I can't find any reviews of Rayman 3D yet.
Does anybody know how good the game will be?
Uses the game the 3D effect well?

When can i see a review on NL?

Dont know but rayman will be the first game i play on my 3DS, so will just have to see what happen then!

I have high hopes for it.

We get Rayman 3D on March 22nd. I'll have a review up on March 25th (the embargo date). The Dreamcast version that this 3D game is based on was amazing, so here's hoping the 3DS release will be equally up to the task.

Is there anyway that we can play demos of Rayman 3D and Rabbids Travel in Time 3D? I'd love to be able to play a few demos before the launch on the 27th.

I wonder if it is worth getting Rayman 3D when I have the DS version (considered the worst version- but I enjoyed it.. with lots of frustrations haha). Maybe I should for 'blast of the past' type of thing (considering the game came out around THIS time 6 years ago on DS).

Sims 3 3DS is getting canceled.

I want Rayman 3DS now. I loved Rayman 2 and I feel very uncomfortable spending money on a game that is getting an increasingly bad reputation that it's going to be a mediocre port.

Where have you read that Rayman 3D is a mediocre port? I'm surprised media are releasing info on it considering the strict embargo.

I was referring to Sims 3 3DS. You must have misread my post. I said I was canceling my preorder for Sims 3 and that I want Rayman 3DS now, because I was always a Rayman fan and loved Rayman 2. Why would I cancel a preorder so I can get a game I believe to be a mediocre port?

Why would they keep it under embargo if we already know everything about the game, or maybe not...?
Maybe I should get this game again...

@Kevember - If you think that's bad, they've embargoed the review for Rabbids Travel in Time 3D until March 31st, a full 4 days after the US launch of the game.

Is there A Trailer yet? If so can somebody post it?

I didn't see one on Youtube, but of course those Rabbids get one. Typical. >: (

I kinda find it very odd that we haven't seen any Media of the game apart from 5 screenshots...I know it's the same Rayman 2 but still, this is the 3DS version so a trailer would be nice Ubisoft.

Why would they embargo reviews till days after the release unless they aren't confident it will get good reviews? If the game were great, they'd want all sorts of hype to increase sales for their game. Instead it just sounds like they're trying to get as many sales as possible before people find out what a letdown the game is.

I looked through the instruction booklet for the game yesterday at GameStop. It's pretty bad, as is the box art. My biggest problem with the manual, assuming the character list is complete, is that it confirms my fears that the Dreamcast version was indeed missing a lot of the content I love from the PS2 version. In which case, I'm thoroughly convinced that Rayman 3DS is NOT the game for me, and they should hurry up and put Rayman 2: Revolution on PSN or in a collection or something.

Glad I cancelled and preordered Mario Kart 3DS instead. You can never go wrong with Mario Kart!

Don't matter what the review say, i like all rayman games and pretty sure this one will be good as well. Im just mad that i have the game now but cant play it till tues. when my 3DS comes!

Perhaps we can expect a trailer this coming Friday although It'd be rather lackluster to post a trailer so close to the launch day.

Especially since the 3DS is out in the UK on Friday. I already have my copy of Rayman and should hopefully have my DS tomorrow. I'll post my impressions but I've never played the original version of the game to compare it against.
