Strange Journey is one of the few SMT games I've never played much of, so a remake is perfect for me. It's too bad the unique, angular character designs are gone, but I'm excited to see what gameplay enhancements Atlus brings to the table.
Also, I realize this was purely an Atlus Japan stream, but if we don't hear SOMETHING about EOV by the time E3 finishes, I'm going to be VERY worried.
I also want Strange Journey as I never played the original. I really hope Atlus moves these series to the Switch though and soon. As much as I love my 3ds I haven't touched it since the Switch came out.
@Frosty_09 Yeah, the 3DS hasn't been replaced. It's still got a year or two left in it.
But, I mean-- people are talking like the game is ruined! Because of different portrait art---? Alright, I think that's enough internet for me for a while.
@Tsurii Alexa (the new character) has already been written off as Mary Sue waifu bait.
@TheLZdragon Japanese audiences and people who like that type of look. Because heaven forbid a Japanese developer/publisher does something like that.
@Ralizah@Spoony_Tech Atlus would rather localize the Caligula Factor (made by Persona's creator) for Vita. Considering the logic behind a lack of EOV localization was "They're focused on Persona and don't want to compete with it", I have to assume it's not coming at all. EOU2 didn't do very well in Japan, for what it's worth.

Wow, ATLUS is showing a lot of love for the 3DS lately!
I find it funny that 2 of the 4 DS RPGs I was looking for (Radiant Historia and SMT Strange Journey) are getting ports!
I guess I did a good thing keeping my 3DS an not getting a Switch, looks like I'll still have A LOT to play on it.
It is slightly disappointing to me that 6+ years later and this is basically the exact same game. I mean, I guess you shouldn't fix a masterpiece but it does nothing for me, as I have the original. Bit of a shame, but at least other people can play an all time great JRPG. Not sure this needed anything sequel-like anyway...
The fact that anyone is complaining about the changes is baffling. It's the same game. The differences seem so insignificant that I bet even Atlus couldn't tell you half of them.
@kkslider5552000 I mean, it's got an entire new 3rd timeline. The baffling thing is how people are talking like the the artstyle change ruins the entire game.
