Topic: Question on Kingdom Hearts 3D DDD

So i've never once played a kingdom hearts game, (and it appears ive been missing out.) Does the story of DDD rely on having played the previous games? I've played games out of order before, but i just want to make sure playing this doesnt completely spoil the other games, and also i dont want to be confused for not understanding the story.

they have every game on there and what they are all about. that's what i used. the only game i've ever played was re:coded and i went to this website. and I kind of understand this game now.

In the game they have a recap thing, where it shows you important events from the past games.
