it is a little wierd at first but you get use to it. it can be uncomfortable when you use d-pad and have to use the L button (ex. playing mario kart ds) but i went through almost half of link's awakening with the d-pad and preffered it more then the circle pad

I dont think I ever use it anymore (or if I do its rarely). I started to realise that its a lot squeakier on th 3DS :/

I never even gave it a second thought. Mostly I use the circle pad. I was surprised how easy that is to use. I thought it would cause me to scroll past things or in the wrong direction (diagonally when I meant to go straight) but it was pretty intuitive. They're both equally easy to use.

the d pad is definitely more stiff and squeaky on the 3ds than the ds or gba. Not uncomfortable though.
