Topic: Question about System Enhanced Games.

I have a question and I'm not sure if anyone will even have the answer.
The Original Game Boy Games (leter ones) had Game Boy Color enhancments.
The Game Boy Color Games (also later ones) had Game Boy Advance enhancements.
I haven't heard or seen any Game Boy Advance Games that had DS enhancements.
There are/were relatively few DSi enhanced DS Games.
I also have not seen any DS Games with 3DS enhancements.

So, my question is this:
Why aren't/weren't there more games taking advantage of the newer systems strengths while working on the older/then current system?
The biggest example of this that I can remember is the Zelda: Oracle series. There were special areas that one could access only if one used the Game Boy Advance.

There's one that does. Two depending on how you count it. Pokémon Black 2 & White 2. Perhaps you've heard of them...

However, it depends on if the developers want to implement upgraded system-specific features or not. With OoA/OoS and Shantae GBC (enhanced color palette and GBA-exclusive transformation), the developers knew that the GBC was near the end of its life, so they decided to implement some features to keep their games in the eyes of consumers eyeing the GBA. If the developers don't see the point in developing and implementing new content for only a fraction of the game's audience, that's their call. I understand wanting more for the new system, but it's just a very limited market to appeal to.

Exactly.

Some GBA games would unlock new things in certain DS games, I don't know if that counts for your list.

Do you know which games?
I hadn't heard about any that did it.

In Pokemon D/P/Pt you could battle Pokemon you couldn't battle before in the wild if you had one of the GBA games inserted. Also i think in Project rub you could unlock different stuff if you inserted some SEGA GBA game.

Pokémon games are a good example. You can find some rare Pokémon in Pokémon D/P/Pt if you have a GBA Pokémon game in your GBA slot. And of course you can use Pal Park in D/P/Pt/HG/SS to transfer your Pokémon from your GBA games to your DS games.
Then there's also Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (GBA) and Blue Rescue Team (DS). You can't get all Pokémon in one game so you have to own both and then transfer Red Rescue Team exclusives to Blue Rescue Team to have all the Pokémon in one game.

It's its, not it's.

Also, if you play Harvest Moon DS/Cute with Harvest Moon (More) Friends of Mineral Town on the GBA slot, new characters and events are unlocked on the DS game and even more if your GBA game was linked to the GC game.
