Dear people,

I am thinking of buying a new sd-card for my 3DS since my old ones are almost full. The point is, normal sd-cards don't seem to exist anymore. Now its all micro-sd, with a sd-adapter. Here's my question: A micro-sd with a adapter, does that fit in my 3DS? And does that actually work? I would love to know!

You souldn't have any problems using a microSD card with an adapter.

The Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS systems are compatible with SD cards up to 2 GB in size, and SDHC cards of 4 GB and larger up to 32 GB in size. All other SD Card types are not considered compatible. miniSD and microSD cards are compatible with the use of an SD card adapter.

Yes, it will work. I've been doing it that way since I got my 3DS.

I wouldn't recommend it personally. I used a Micro with an adapter with my original 3DS; eventually it started breaking and a lot of the time, my 3DS was having trouble detecting it and kept thinking it was being taken out, it was so annoying. Eventually I bought a New 3DS XL & since that uses Micro instead, it's been much better.
So yeah, those adapters? Flimsy things that break too easily, would not recommend.
