My only concern is the demo doesn't do anything good to show off the game just the puzzle aspects.
Demos are always like that, lol...just look at Monster Hunter's. xD
Yrah but 4U's was way better the 3U's
...Why, because of online?...They're basically all the same, fight two monsters with a 15 minute time limit.
I don't know what demo you played but that's not what I played. Also 4u had a much more detailed explanation of the weapons you used.
The demo wasn't fight 2 monsters and the time limit was around 25 mins if I recall correctly. That's not really important here but I find half the demos are good if it's the first parts of the game. The ones where they throw you in the middle without much explanation to be bad examples of the game and yes 4u does do this as well even though I think it's better then 3u's.
...Um, yeah 4U just had you fight Gore and Tetsu (Jaggi too but no one cares about him)...they weren't even new to 4U. Also 15 minute time limit.
I dunno, maybe it was 25, it still didn't give you much. Still didn't say much about the game itself.

I thought you meant fight 2 at the same time with 15minute time limit. My bad. Also those monsters might not be new but they're new to Nintendo fans as I've never seen them till 4u.
Bleh, point being demos usually suck. lol
Plenty of Monster Hunter fans actually feel the same about the demos, they don't say much about the whole game.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Gore Magala is new to anyone who doesn't have a JP 3DS and the original MH4. I like what I played of the Puzzle and Dragons SMB demo. Not much content in it, but it gives me an idea of what the game plays like. Expert mode is surprisingly challenging too.
Puzzle dragon mario 3ds is insulting when I was expecting a lot more of an action packed type of game with adventure. This mario game has none of that & for $30 my money can be more wisely spent in the 3DS E-Shop on other 3DS games.
Puzzle and Dragons for iOS has been out for awhile. Just looking that up or giving the game a try (it's free to try) would give you an idea of how the game plays.
Not a troll. I did play the demo & I wasn't impressed.
Match 3 whatever you really want to call the genre for this game.
Either way this is a low standard for Nintendo in gaming. When I've played 1st party Nintendo games since the NES days in the 1990's & up to current year 2015.

I'm more looking forward to Hatsune Miku 3DS as it'll be the first hatsune miku game I've ever played.
Happy Gaming! (^_^)
If the demo fails to capture the gameplay that's a shortcoming with the demo not the final product.
With your own time and your money it's good to have high expectations, I'm optimistic that the review for this game will do more to capture the fun of the game that was apparently lost with this demo.
After giving the game a better go last night I got hooked. Once I figured put a few things the gameplay opened up big time. I didn't even noticed the special abilities on the right side till way later.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Oh god, that really was a terrible demo! It barely teaches you the basics, but the game is really an RPG at its core and it does next to nothing to establish that. The expert part was fun, though. Really made me think. Still, it would've been more satisfying if they explained and let you utilize the customization and character growth more...

Same here! I kept losing in the expert level and had to learn about why that was happening on my own, which was sort of fun! But such a bare bones demo made me wonder if maybe the actual game(s) are going to be super-short. Like maybe they kept it simple because there isn't a whole lot to show in the first place?

Only if they ripped out 90% of the original P&D game...
I liked the demo and definitely will be getting the game. The demo only showed off the Mario game. It didn't show off the other one so you can't really judge the game based on the demo. The expert one was hard. I kept dying.
I liked the demo, however it was lacking. My only complaint about it was the timer effect should be on the gem like in Doctor Who: Legacy (which is a copy of the gameplay) There were plenty of times I was trying to move gems and without me realizing it the gem I was holding dropped and stopped me from getting as big of a combo as I wanted. With a timer effect on the gem I could more easily navigate the board. Currectly the timer is on the side of the screen where I am not looking while moving gems.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I noticed this, too, which is weird since in the tablet version, the timer is actually on (or at least above) the gem itself.
