Topic: Puzzle and Dragons Z/Super Mario Edition

So anyone getting this? Haven't played a puzzle game in a long time on the DS/3DS, and this one looks interesting. (especially since it has some RPG-like elements to it as well)

I will, though I have basically no excitement for the game. That's not an insult against the game, more that I have no idea how you get excited for a Match 3 game (and to be fair, I find it hard to get that excited about games before I actually play them nowadays).

But I haven't played a traditional puzzle game like this in a very long time. I think literally the last game I played with anything like that was...Henry Hatsworth. And that only barely counts...

Never said I was excited about, but I don't play many good puzzle games. Think the only one I bothered with on the 3DS was Layton (I forget which one), Tetrix Axis was bleh. The DS one was more memorable, and the other one is probably the one of the oldest DS games, think it was called Polarium or something like that. But yeah this game just interested me because of the RPG elements.

I kinda want the mario one. Just because.

Yeh I'm in for this one. Never played anything like this before and it looks nice enough so I'll look to pick it up sometime in the future.

Eh, I've seen gameplay of SMB edition through -shudder- Polygon's channel (ugh, not even Nick can make me stand anything associated with that site).
It looks okay, reuses a lot from NSMB themes and assests though. Like, 95% of the game's assets (music and everything) are based off the NSMB series. Not a bad thing, just a heads up.
The video only really showed World 1, but from I saw it plays exactly how you would expect mobile game to play, minus the micro-transactions and with Mario slapped on it. Looks meh, I need more convincing before paying full price tbh.

...It's 2 games in one, you know. lol
And the other game never made it out of Japan before as far as I know.

I'm not entirely convinced I like the main gameplay enough to want both of them atm.
I know the original game is on mobile so I might try that to see if will.

already have it preordered. I love puzzle games and two games for that price makes it worth it to me. can't wait for this game

I am getting this. The combo makes it a better bang for the buck and the Mario variant makes it more approachable. The only bad thing is having this the same month as Splatoon and MK8 DLC. Hope they date them apart enough.

This and LEGO Jurassic World are pretty much the only games I'm interested in that are on the release calendar (only have a 2DS). Can't wait for May to come around : 3

I'm definitely getting it. I've played the mobile version, it was fun but hated the micro-transaction(I loathe the pay2win for most iOS games) and limiting gameplay due to stamina. I haven't done any looking up at the Japanese version of this game that released back in 2013, but I believe none of that is in it. It has RPG elements and a story, the only thing I'm wanting to know is how many monsters from the iOS version are in P&DZ? By any chance does anyone know where there's a list of all of them all?

Just making sure (chances are they're different, lol), but the iOS version and the 3DS game are two different games right?
Anyways yeah the 3DS games have no limitations or anything like that, so it's pretty much like any other retail game out there. Guess I'd like to know about the monsters too, how many are there or how many of them you can have join you.

I'm excited for this but I'll most likely have to choose between this and Splatoon. At the current moment, I'm leaning towards Splatoon although I'll pick them both up at some point.

Apparently this gonna be cheaper than other retail 3DS games.
