It's entirely random which initial puzzle you get a piece for. My son and wife both got different puzzles to me to start with.

When you buy a new piece with play coins, is it always from one of your existing puzzles or could it be from a new one? I've been spending my play coins on Quest and Lego Star Wars.

What did you guys set for your region? I'm hearing people that set the same state/province when you initially set up the system are all ending up with the same starting puzzle, which is going to make it much harder to complete all the puzzles if true.

You choose which puzzle you'd like to buy a piece for, so yes, it has to be a puzzle you have.

@iphys Sadly this seems to be true in my state. Wisconsin = Pikmin apparently.

Nova Scotia = Zelda, which isn't bad, but if I'd known in advance I might have picked my original province so that I wouldn't have the same puzzle as almost everyone I'm likely to streetpass. I think it's going to be slow going before we run into people who have pieces from the other puzzles.

Two buddies and I all are from Wisconsin and all three of us started with the Pikmin one as well.

Well, my first puzzle is Kirby, that means Mexico = Kirby? Or my just state (because, surprinsingly i was asked for it)?

My first puzzle was and is the Super Mario Galaxy 2 picture. It's moving pretty slowly because I'm busy spending all my play coins on Find Mii. Only genuine streetpass Miis give me puzzle pieces.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Probably just your state is Kirby. Someone from Europe was saying they were getting different puzzles for different regions in Spain, so I guess every country has been regionalized — not sure how that works with tiny countries.

let me tell you this....there are MAAAAAAAAAAAAAANY Puzzles out there! I know of 17 diffrerent puzzles. and it has NOTHING to do with you region.

you can unlock puzzles by passing people who have different puzzles started.
abd for anyone who had'nt the luck for some streetpassing. if you pass someone and he got many more pieces then you, you can decide wich piece of which puzzle you want

If there are that many and it has nothing to do with region, aren't we being massively unlucky that other people from our region generally seem to have the same one?

Well, if your region depends on your puzzle, Illinois = Metroid: Other M.

Exactly.

Not sure which one mine is. It (so far) has Mario, Luigi and Bowser on it.
