Opening the SD card of my 3ds with my laptop, I just noticed that the last photos I've taken don't show up in their folders (3DS/DCIM/100NIN03...), but they appear in my 3ds gallery as usual. So what's wrong? Maybe they blocked the possibility to copy photos with a recent update?

Did you check ALL the folders? Oh, and I think if you take a pic in 3d, you can't transfer it.

You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

That was my thought... if for some reason the jpg version is gone, (and it's just mpo), you might not see it in the folder on the computer... but I'm just making a wild guess.

Have you accidentally saved them on the system memory rather than the SD card?

Actually, this seems to be the most likely. You should check and see if you haven't done that.

I checked all the folders and all the previous photos shows up both on .jpeg and .mpo version. Last photos are not in 3d, however all the old 3d pictures are in their folders, and I can open their .jpeg version with any pc program (and visualize them in 2d of course). It's a minor problem, but it's strange.

Oh god, maybe my niece put her hands on my 3ds when I wasn't home! Gonna check as soon as possible. Thanks everyone.

A small point here, the MPO files are technically JPEG files with a second image embedded in them, that's what makes them appear 3D on the 3DS. Most modern image viewers can view the MPO as well, it's the new standard for stereoscopic images across all devices.
