Anyone else noticing the power button being less responsive after the recent updates? Sometimes I have to press it two or three times before the system turns on. Google "3DS power button" to see a fair amount of others experiencing this.

Didnt happen before the eShop update. Very weird.

How long are you leaving it after the first press? I've noticed that the power light takes a while to come on, but the system is starting up.

That's odd I thought the power button turns the 3DS off quicker since the update. Loading time from power off is lame though, plus all my game/app icons take a moment or two to appear (hope they fix that in a future update).

Eh, I don't care about those little details. Electronics don't always do exactly what we want them to do anyway.

I've tried a quick press, a long press and two quick presses. Two quick ones usually work but sometimes it works with one. It's a really odd problem.

Yes, i have this 'problem' as well. I press it, but the light doesn't come. I need to press like 2-3 times before it finally comes. It's not a big deal actually.

Haven't experienced this problem but even if would, I don't think I would care that much.

It's its, not it's.

One day I had to press my 3DS Power about four times before it came on. I remember earlier this month my 3DS wouldn't even come on at all and I had fully charged it beforehand. This is worse than odd.

You just have to hold it down for about a second; just a quick press won't work.
This was probably intentional by Nintendo so you can't turn it on and off unintentionally.

Agreeing with the 11th Commenter, if you notice now generally on devices you have to hold down the power button for about a second for it to turn on. I just times how long it takes (you have to press the button for) to actually turn on the LED hundredth mili - second and the result is..... 0.513 so, yeah, it's hardly massive half a second!

Although, it may just be my device but mine takes longer to turn off. I timed when turning off and the result is..... 0.834, that's for loading onto the bit where it says power off, so yeah, either way, it' no big dealfor me anyway!

i noticed that when i push too quick on the power button, it wont bring me to the shutdown window. i need to keep it pressed a little longer. its not a bad thing actually. take it as a safe method. if you push it by mistake, it wont screw your savegame of something.
the only irritating thing are the dsiware icons that takes a while to load.

but again, its so little that it doesnt affect much my gaming time anyway. just simple things that could be improved over time.

I think the power button is too close the edge of the screen. It feels weird, and sometimes it takes me 2 hits to get it started up, but It's no big issue. Deal with it.
