So I guess there is a diverse range of speculation for what the next game in the series will be...
I mean, there's Generation 7, and then lots of people are saying that a "Z" could be made, and then there's the possibility of an "X2 Y2" in the vein of Black and White.
You know what I would like? Probably a Generation 4 remake. It would be even better on the 3DS than Hoenn.
Or whoa... what if they made a sequel to an older game? Like a "Red 2 Blue 2". You would explore the world again, but from a different perspective with tons of new areas.
You know, I just hope they make Something... and soon!

Instead of Pokemon Z, I would like to see Pokemon Jade to become a game in the franchise.

I can't tell if you're joking about the bootleg title or actually serious about the company's own jade version.

The official site has posted about a press conference being held today about a future business strategy being held today, September 10th, at 15:00 JST (06:00 UTC, 07:00 BST, 02:00 EDT, 23:00 JST). This will be live streamed on the video platform NicoNico in Japan. It's not currently known what this conference will contain but we'll bring the full details as it comes

This could be it, there's not much else "future business strategy" could mean besides a new game announcement.

More details on this livestream state that they're going to be announcing new partner companies. So it's probably not main game related.

I don't think new partners are working on Pokken, so if it's any kind of spinoff it's a new one. Something tells me it's not game related.

@Bolt_Strike: Probably not. The timing of this stream is rather odd though, considering CoroCoro is set to leak within the next week.

I doubt it'll be new game announcements, but I'm sure we'll definitely be getting big news. Probably some really cool collaborations like more Pokemon getting S. H. Figuarts or something. Some mobile plans I bet too.

Pokemon's 20th anniversary is probably something that will get mentioned, but I could be wrong on that.

Merchandise and mobile games isn't exactly my idea of "big news".

@Bolt_Strike: The entire franchise going mobile would be pretty big news though. I've seen so many people speculating about that being the announcement. Mostly just doom and gloom talk though.

Pokemon going mobile this soon is utter nonsense, Nintendo won't let that happen until they're sure they can't sell dedicated handhelds anymore.

Yeah.... We might be hearing a big Pokemon project on mobile soon...

@Bolt_Strike: Indeed. I did see one suggestion that Ishihara will announce that he's leaving TPC, with Masuda taking over. Nintendo would then announce their new CEO soon after (Ishihara).

Obviously, that's not going to happen, though the idea is rather interesting.
