I couldn't stand the sprites after I played Pokemon Stadium. These games really are a dream come true for me. Although if they don't fix the audio it'll be weird. Bleeps and bloops are more excusable for sprites than for fully 3D models.

Heartgold and Soulsilver had great, detailed sprites, and then Black and White had moving pokemon sprites that looked so heavilly pixilated (esp. on DSiXL) that it looked apalling. From what I've seen of Pokemon X and Y, I think the models of the pokemon in battle look fantastic. For the time being, though, I prefer to do my battling in Soulsilver for asthetic purposes.
