These games really look like they have the potential to be the best Pokemon games since HeartGold/SoulSilver.

(Well, technically I'm playing HeartGold now, but I do check my SoulSilver often as well...)
Though I do hope that these games don't skimp on the replay value horribly like original BW did. I'm confident they'll be amazing to play through, but will they be as great to return to? That's the sole reason HGSS remains my favorite duo of Pokémon games, they had wonderful replay value. I hope that they give some great single player content to take part in after the main story.

I am sooo looking forward to this. From what I've seen so far, I'd go with Y Version and Fennekin. Gotta love that fire fox.

The X looks like that deer in the trailer and the Y looks like the bird/dragon thing. So it's safe to assume that those will be exclusive to their respective games. Also, if they made a sequel would it be called Pokemon X-squared and Y-squared? XD

It would be great if GameFreak continues on the sequel idea. It's neat seeing the story continue, and, at least for me, it breathed new life into the Unova region.

I am not impressed with the looks of the overworld, but at least it is finally in 3D, something that they should have done as early as Diamond/Pearl. The battles look exactly as I always hoped they would someday. And may the gaming gods bless Nintendo for releasing this worldwide in the same month. Something I noticed is the city in that screenshot. It looks kinda like Paris. Are they going for a European style this time? I liked how Johto was sort of like Japan and Unova like North America in their looks.

Oh, and Froakie is totally gonna be mah homeboi!

I'm mostly just confused on how quickly this has come out. Like most Pokemon fans are still playing B/W 2.

I don't know if I'm ready for this. I feel that the announcement was too soon (for my liking at least). Heck, Meloetta still hasn't been released anywhere not named Japan in Gen 5. Maybe I'll be ready when the time comes, 9 months is a long way to go.

As for what version and what starter I'll pick is still tough to say. I love all 3 of then already, I'm gonna need to wait and see what they can do and become!

I'm getting the Y version. Not decided on my starter yet though.

Grrr... Too soon. The overworld looks hideous and the legends look kinda uncreative but the starters look great, and the battle system actually looks good.
Overall, I'm having trouble looking away. @_@ not sure if it's from horror or excitement though.

This might just be my favorite Legendary ever. In the old days Legendary Pokémon felt a lot more Legendary, and secretive and you would barely hear about them. For some reason this deer gives me the same vibe. I really like the Pokémon designs of Generation VI more and more when I see them, but X-Legendary is probably my favorite of them all. It's just mystical.

Is anyone else really going to miss the 2D sprites like myself? This is all kind of bittersweet for me.
