I don't doubt that could be fake. Pokebeach did warn to not believe every single bit as fact and that evolution thing sounds ridiculous. I'm assuming just the bits about Fairy Type, the moves he listed, and dual type attacks to be real for now,

Honestly, I don't believe a word of it. I still don't see the point of introducing a new type just yet, and I should hope if they didn't it wouldn't be a "fairy" type, or any sort of magic type for that matter. Pokemon are supposed to be like Magical spirits anyways, and their powers come from nature, how magic fit into all that? And Dual-type moves just sounds too unwieldy. The other moves at least sound believable, but it wouldn't surprise me if those were fake, too. For all we know, it could've been some guy who got ahold of the official info, but for some stupid reason, instead of keeping to just the official news, decided to include fake stuff as well just to screw with everyone.

Well perhaps the "Fairy" type is supposed to represent light and good where "Dark" represents evil and darkness.

But then again who doesn't want to be Dark?

I believe you mean amazementville. I actualky buy this info. It could just be an excuse to use motion controls. Also who would try to pass that off as real if it wasn't. Just because it sounds ridiculous doesn't mean its fake.

People do it all of the time. I'll put you on my list of people who I should play an April fools joke on next year.

That's based off a lynx.

@Turtlelink: Last time I saw a lynx, it hadn't a big mane or a long tail ending on a puffball.

Its design has more in common with the lion than the lynx. There's no downwards mane or beard, no spiky ears, it has a long tail, etc.

Bulbapedia also says it's based on a lion, and bulbapedia never lies.

The only part where it resembles a lynx is in the theme naming of the family. And maybe the spiky rear fur that looks more like the tail of an actual lynx.

@Morphtorok Not disagreeing with the Luxray line being lions but looks can definitely be deceiving and aren't always something to completely go by.

Look how many people believed Spinda was a rabbit, when it's actually a panda.

Oh no, I'm saying they're all lions. I'm just saying Luxray's clearly modeled to look like one. Lynx or not, it's made to look like a lion, and that's something no one can deny.

Round ears, large mane, long tail ending in a puffball. There's nothing lynx-like about it. Luxio looks more like a lynx than it.

My guess is that they simply wanted them to be more like a lynx-sized lion family of sorts or some kind of "wild cat" representative family. That and the word lynx goes better with electricity.

Besides, who waid pokemon could have only one source of inspiration behind their desings?

I wasn't saying they couldn't have multiple inspirations, but ok(although the statement seemed to be a general one). Coincidentally enough, I was going to point that out in my last post before I left it.

For some reason I always felt if there were an actual straight up lion pokemon it would be a fire type with a flaming mane. I would love that and hope to see something like that in this new gen.
