So the resolution to the plot happens...incredibly fast.
Poni Island has been completely reorganised.
In Sun and Moon you got there, saw Hapu become Kahuna, go to Exeggutor Island with Lillie, go to Vast Poni Canyon, beat Hapu, do the Dragon Trial, reach the altar, battle Lusamine, legendary, then League.
Here its...man. You get there. Meet Mina, see Hapu become Kahuna, do Exeggutor Island alone, go to Vast Poni Canyon, battle the Recon Squad, do the Dragon Trial, reach the altar, battle a Lv50 Dawn Wings Necrozma, cutscene, Ultra Warp Wide, battle Lv60 Ultra Necrozma.
Was something cut or did they really think youd go from a the Cayon right into a battle thats over 10 levels above you with one of the hardest hitting things in the series?
In case anyone is wondering how I beat the thing, there is a trainer on Poni Island who gives you a Focus Sash. Gave that to Electabuzz, took a hit, used Thunder Wave, and then got lucky, landed a crit with the Dark Z-Move from Malamar and had to continue getting lucky.

I was disappointed that Marshadow wasn't available without going to a store.
The only stores where I live that distribute codes are GAME, which is a bad enough store as is without having to go and get a code. I went a couple of times during the monthly Pokémon distribution last year however I gave up pretty after early after I was asked to buy something before I could get it, which isn't stated anywhere! A couple of months later I went again and they said that I needed to spend at least £10!
This year I've been to the two stores near me for a Marshadow, once I was asked to buy something, another time they looked completely clueless and multiple times they gave me a Silvally code, even when I asked for a Marshadow one.
I know it's not really a big deal but I don't know why they still make you go to a store. Online distribution makes more sense to me but maybe the stores pay a lot of money to get those exclusive distributions?
So on your way to the Pokemon league you can catch Lv65 Necrozma, get the item to fuse it with Solgaleo and Lunala, and it's Ultranecrozium Z to Ultra Burst it into Ultra Necrozma and use its Z-Move.
At this point you can also catch Lunala.
The game is apologising to me.

@DarthNocturnal Maybe that's why Game Freak prefers handhelds? That certain things like multiple versions and minimal game updates are more acceptable on handhelds than home consoles.
This might have been discussed before (I've been ducking in and out of this thread to avoid some spoilers), but how does Dusk Lycanroc compare to the other two forms?

@Tyranexx Im unsure of the exact stats but I believe the general feel is currently its the worst of the bunch as it occupies a middle ground between both Midday and Midnight that means it does neither very well
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
Pretty much that. But it lacks the bulk of Midnight to use Counter, and its not really got the stats that made Midday "Mediocre" at best so its....probably the worst of the 3.
Anyway, my next encounter is actually Moltres (I was hopping for something more interesting than the rubber chicken...).
Shiny is Pink so since I can see that change, I'm good.
Interesting. I'm not a competitive battler as I don't have the time or enough interest to do so, but Lycanroc (all forms) is one of my favorite Gen 7 Pokemon. I was just wondering how all three compare in US/UM.
Can some decent Ground type moves be learned, at least? I was disappointed when Earthquake wasn't an option in Sun.
