Now as you may know, a new Pokemon was revealed at the end of the Hoopa movie.
Open the floodgates for theories to come.
Now where as i don't believe this blob pokemon is a legendary, i do believe we have more pokemon on the way soon as we know nothing about the X and Y potential sequels (the last game/games in G6). if this pokemon is in XZ or YZ (or whatever they will call it) i think we can expect more backstory to Zygarde. Perhaps this pokemon has a carbink-esque link to zygarde?
Let me know your theories about this new pokemon and about G6.5 and/or G7.
Is this a joke? Are you having a chuckle? Haha, very funny. I'm the one with a degree

@Rixor13: If this new Pokemon is actually a new Pokemon, then it won't be in the games coming this year, much like Munchlax being in Destiny Deoxys but not present in the games until Diamond/Pearl.
@Tommy_Wiseau: Why remake a region that's already had a remake? I do love the region, and if they decide to go back to it, a whole new story in the region would be pretty cool, but you could argue that HGSS did that as well.

@nf_2: I think the Kanto Region makes the most sense for a remake. It is the only region that can't be played on the 3DS now. It is also the region that would receive the most improvements from the updated engine. If we are looking at a remake then I would vote Red/Blue. However we could be looking at a new game too.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

i highly doubt that we will have annother remake this gen. i hope that g5 is the only generation to not include a remake but we may not get a remake in g7. considering it's a bit too soon for sinnoh remakes.

I wish they would redo all the GENS sans ORAS into 1 game. I bet it can be done. Call it Pokemon G for global. Maybe Pokemon U and put it on the Wii U.(pipe dream)

fly from region to region on the pokemon of your choice, get all 58+ gym badges, fight new legendaries (perhaps some form of land-formation pokemon? well i guess that's arceus...) about half pokemon with multiple stages of evolution have a mega evolution...as well as most legends...
we can only dream but perhaps this could be the 20th anniversary title meaning that it will come out next year....

More than likely we'll never see a console Pokemon game again unless we can crossplay handheld games. Pretty much everyone involved with the series has the same anti-console mindset.
More on topic, I think a Gen 6.5 would be interesting, but IDK if they'd do it. The blob thing might just be part of Zygarde.
A game with all the gens would be too much of a hassle to beat. Unless it was a choice selection with your Pokemon from one game gets stored until you beat the title your in
Just make an open world and nonlinear new pokemon game on 3DS. Think about it; Pokemon is practically the only long-running franchise that could actually benefit from that absurdly-oversaturated fad.
@Tops: I wouldn't say no to either, but they were already remade and I think if they're going to bother with revisiting those regions they may as well do proper sequels.
@DefHalan: If they want to make them all playable on the 3DS, release them on the VC. Like I said, remakes would be fine but they've been done. Something new would be more worthwhile. The charm of gens I and II for me are the graphics, sounds, etc. The newer games are obviously significantly improved gameplay wise, but I'm a bit sick of the remake trend Pokemon is going for. A second remake is just too much.

I'll take anything over these.. they're just three mons slapped into one, turned upsides down, or just are so... why.
If anything, this looks like a pretty cool first stage pokemon, if it is one and not what zygarde is made out of (I'm still betting on it being what zygarde it made out of based on thousand waves/arrow's animation.)
I think there's a chance we might get new Pokemon in this generation's third game/sequels. As I said before, the story is just perfect for it, and the ever growing amount of new content and mechanics in the third versions means that new Pokemon isn't really that implausible outside of a new gen any more.
Could it be a new gen though? Well I guess, but if so, they'd have put themselves in a right mess as far as things like the adaptations go. We'd have another Episode N type catastrope for the anime series for example, given that they'd have to wrap it up super quickly.
I think besides the huge difference between the 2D and 3D games, the gen 1 remakes are old enough to warrant the upgrade. I think what else could be interesting is a 'revisiting' of a region, setting a new game in Kanto, for instance, though I don't know where the line would be between changing too much about said region and just calling it a remake. Maybe that's just a crap idea, idk.
Kanto really needs a BW2 kind of experience, a sequel that takes place in Kanto (and only Kanto, throwing in Johto ruins the potential of both regions) and has new and redesigned areas, a huge expansion to the Kanto Dex (with more than just cross gen evolutions, Kanto needs completely different families from later generations to balance things out), and a much better storyline. The region and RBYFRLG as a whole has really aged poorly, so it needs that kind of boost to measure up to newer games.
So basically you're okay with them copy/pasting the game in HD and throwing in a handful of anime elements? LOL, okay. They could do much better than an HD remake of Yellow. Much, much better.
