No. What about "Family Accounts" like mine. You can only redeem the download code once, so only 1 person in that family could get the game.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.

Yeah, but I'm guessing that won't happen until, uh...maybe 2017? And that's if they continue to get worse. On the bright side, at least we have a rewards program. Though it has been getting kinda cheap lately.

In my opinion, the best Club Nintendo platinum reward would be a red leaf Pikmin just like the one Miyamoto had at E3. I really think that should either be a normal Club Nintendo prize, or I platinum prize. I'd LOVE to get one of those little guys.
While I'm positive Pikmin has a fanbase, the series isn't large or iconic enough to be Platinum Award worthy, IMO. Although, I could see it being a normal prize for a couple hundred coins.
The Platinum Award almost has to be Mario, Zelda, or Metroid themed (or just Nintendo overall, not themed around a particular series). They might be able to get away with Kirby this year, being the 20th anniversary and all that.

My totally unrealistic hope for the platinum reward is that we're given an eShop voucher to exclusively download our choice of a Nintendo DS game that didn't make it to North America, like Last Window or Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.
