At first i didn't know what to think of PilotWings during my 15 min hands on with the game during my 3DS unboxing because i barely knew that there was some pretty crazy skill that was involved, but once you start the mission mode and master the controls, especially with the Rocket Belt things get pretty great! B-) I see the entire thing as an 8.5 And again, the 3D is pretty remarkable depending on which air craft you select. With the planes, they don't stand out that much, but the rocket belts and gliders are incredible. :o

As for SFIV.....Yup, same deal with me as far as boredum goes. I honestly don't care for online, i'd rather play with friends in the same area, but none of my friends have a 3DS. Besides like i mentioned earlier i don't like how SFIV plays compared to SSFII HD remix. I prefered the quicker, faster and more responsive controls/gameplay of SSFII HD Remix easily.....But SFIV however, doesn't play as well imo...And i'm sure you'll agree that the experience feels pretty damn lifeless due to the static people and animals in the backgrounds....it's just really weird and akward. :p And it's a shame that it doesn't run in 60fps with 3D.....Hell, i don't think ANY 3DS game will beable to run at 60fps with 3D and that's a bit of a letdown...Considering how much more amazing it would look with both combined.

Anyways, I enjoyed soaring through Wuhu Island even if it was rehashed. But I never wan't to see it again Nintendo! :p

I think it's time to toss in the Mega hat.
I need to find 1 Island and 1 Gold Ring with the Glider in Free Flight mode, and alas no Luck. It's frustrating to no end. I felt like I've inched the entire Island but i can't for the life of me find anything. I don't want to go online and cheat, and it's going to annoy the hell out of me if I do, AND if i quit the game uncomplete like this :p

Ahh what to do.lol

@WaveBoy keep going! I remember I was missing two rings for ages, and in the end found them really close to the tunnel. They looked so obvious there I don' know how I'd missed em. But I must have flown for about 20 minutes a day for a week looking for them. You can't quit now!

Oh and a couple other things, I think Miyamoto recently said that MarioKart will run at 60fps with 3D (we hope!) and i reckon you can look forward to driving round Wuhu Island!

I'm going to put in another 2 hours right now haha. :p I want to get it finished so i can start Nintendog's + Cats tomorrow or tonight. Anyways PW Resort is fantastic and i'm glad it was my first launch title that I've actually sat down and played instead of dinking around with a bunch of 3DS games at launch while being overwhelmed and not focusing on one game. I love just sticking to one game and conkering the whole thing and then moving onto the next.

I've been playing it for 7 days now, 2 hours or so every night. I can't game for usually over 2 hours and at 2 1/2 hours the 3D effect for me becomes effected without taking breaks of course. it becomes blurry, there's a bit of ghosting and the 3D effect doesn't stand out as much. That's when it's time to stop! :p

And what's up with that whale? I wish the plane had amunition so i can blow it all to hell.lol

And yes, lets hope MK 3D runs at 60fps with 3D enabled, that would be totaly amazing.

Glad you like the game WaveBoy. It was my first 3DS game and I have put a least 32 hours into it. When the eShop hit I slowly stopped playing it. It's a good game while it lasts, now I have to find one more Gold Ring! Also the whale is really just for show, I think.

Formally Square-enixFan, Neo-GeoFan. A lover of fine games and handhelds..(Tiger Game.com not included in either category!!!)
The 3DS XL is amazing. Much games... ^_^

Dude, I have one gold ring left to go as well. :p
And I'm glad i just went online and found out where the 75th Island is located....Since trying to find it was frustrating me to no end. And guess what? There's no way anybody would of found this one on their own unless they somehow lucked out or looked back and realised where that Alien Ship was supposed to be positioned in Free Flight mode.

Basically, you have to select the Jet at Night(I think....) and you have to hover mid range over the water in a certian area and get in the right position and you have to slowly fly upwards when you're in the middle of the alien ship(as it were there) and then you'll hopefuly see the Island symbol. It took me 10 minutes to get it right.........And if I haden't of looked online, there's no way in hell I would of found out where it was. I still feel like a lame wad for cheating, but i can't spend hours each day zooming through the island hoping to find something. I NEVER would of found Island 75 on my own, tricky stuff Nintendo! :p

As for the final gold ring, I'm looking online to find out where it is. The Peddle Glider is so slow as it is, i don't have the patience anymore.lol

I found that i point on my first night trip. :D
The hardest gold rings to find are the ones that are high up in the air over empty water, try looking where there is no land.

Really? Well props to you bud. :p
Realising that it can only be done at midnight is a bit tricky in itself. Yet I had a hard time trying to get in that zone to even nail it. Anyways, I managed to luck out finding the last Gold Ring with the Glider in Free Flight Mode. B-) It was in the middle of nowhere high above some sail boat towards the Golf Island! hehe. :D

Everything is basically unlocked....Although there is one more thing, and that's getting the near impossible Perfect 3 star red ratings in Mission Mode. I'm sure I could ace the earlier stages, but later on it gets incredibly challenging and imo it's not worth the time or effort. I don't think anybody has gotten a perfect star rating for everything in mission mode on this site.

Anyways, I'm basically done with PW Resort, yet I'm going to play it for 20 minutes or so tonight just for kicks and one last shabang before i boot up Nintendog's + Cats.

And I gotta say, the 3D effect in PilotWings is only eye popping and incredibly impressive regarding your in game Air craft and mii character. The plane and Jet look nice in 3D, but not too impressive. Yet selecting either the Super Rocket Belt, the Rocket Belt, Glider or Peddle Glider is an entirely different story as you get a great sense of depth, shape and even the pop out effect, it's quite stunning and incredibly awesome stuff! :D It's instantly amazing when you select one of the 4 air crafts durring the sunny day time, it makes the 3D effect stand out more as well.

Yet the 3D effect regarding Wuhu Island isn't impressive. the 3D definitly helps big time by judging distance, but the 3D itself or Wuhu Island has been softened/blurred, but I'm guessing that's because Nintendo wanted your Mii/Aircraft to stand out, be the main focus and take centre stage.

with that said, if you go to the Diarama's that you can unlock, THOSE are the perfect example of how amazing the backgrounds/ islands and whatever in Wuhu island could of looked. they're crystal clear and the 3d is insanely awesome. It's like looking at a tiny minature town inside a virtual world. You can even change the angle and make objects litteraly pop off the screen, with the light house, Castle ect ect. :o Or get a greater sense of depth by zooming in.

Also the graphics the graphics overall are pretty impressive....But that mainly has to do with your Mii/Air Craft and the beautiful lighting and shader effects going on, and the 3D compeltely enhances it all. Yet The buildings and so fourth on Wuhu island for the most part are a smidge generic and not exactly impressive.

I haven't played Wii Sports Resort for the Wii in a while, but I'm pretty sure Wuhu island was packing more detail in the polygon department, yet it seems like PW Resort is whoppin some superior textures and lighting....

You sure bumped an old thread to say that. At any rate you can find used copies for less $10 these days. I got mine for, like, $8 at Gamestop.

This is a good game.
Someone needs to go back in time and remind them to add some content though.
