Topic: Phoenix Wright 5 announced for 3DS

I'm going to guess a quirky female character with a gimmick which kills suspension of disbelief who is heavily tied into the overall plot of the game who will comment on a step-ladder. Just a wild guess though.

Aren't people boycotting Capcom's games after their recent DLC shenanigans and poor handling of Mega Man?

Stick to your guns people, I expect nobody in this topic to buy Ace Attorney 5.

Except me, because I never boycotted or hated Capcom in the first place.

Capcom are better than Nintendo,so I'm buying it.

Also the whole Cross Assault thing.

I don't really care about any of the above, so I'll be buying it for sure.

I read about it in Nintendo Power before I even knew what anime was, so no. It made it sound like it was generic courtroom antics, so I never bothered to look into the series any further until I bought it 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Yeah. Once I had the choice between Ace Attorney 1 on the DS or Final Fight Streetwise. I went with FFS because I wasn't familar with the Ace Attorney series and thought it would be boring.

How wrong I was. If only I had money for both I would be into the series a lot sooner. As it was, it was Phoenix Wrong that I became familar with the series.

I still hope it's cell shaded. :3

eff that, the Cross Assault fiasco was the straw on this camel's back. I'll be waiting for it to show up used someplace — that way i get my fix and my money goes to Gamestop instead. :3

I'm thankful I immediately gave up thinking of boycotting Capcom honestly. Because that just means I'll (most likely) get this and the Layton crossover new and anything else used because I want to play some of their games, but not enough to not get other new games. It works out without boycotting. This is a good thing as I should have stopped buying more games new than used ages ago.

I personally believe in never depriving myself of a good game for any reason (other than money-related issues) ever, so I'm just gonna continue buying good games from Capcom when they release them.

What I do for Capcom is I buy their games used, so that no money goes to them but I still get to enjoy the game. I don't do this, however, if their game doesn't exibet anything that I hate them for. I bought RE: Revelations new because it didn't have on-cartridge DLC and it tried to actually go back to its survival horror routes (at least for the first half of the game). That, and it actually had quite a good amount of content.

okay can someone layout the order of the games so i can play them all in order please ive completed 2 or 3 of them on ds but i wanna get the story straight so i know whats going on in the fith

Too bad we don't have a release date yet. Oh, and boycotting Capcom? Come on, are you kidding me? If Capcoms releases a good game that I'd like to play, I'll buy it. I don't a major reason to boycot Capcom.

i really cannot wait for this game, but its really text heavy, so translations will take a while. and the whole localisation process. It might come out late 2013, maybe even early 2014. But it depends on the Japanese release, if its released in the next 4 months or so

I cannot wait! I love the Ace Attorney series. Thank God their sending it to the west.

What's the Cross assault fiasco? Was it the thing that happened at that tournament?

The 3D models look pretty much how I expected them to as I was expecting them to look similar to the ones we'd seen in the Professor Layton VS. Ace attorney gameplay and they do and judging and Phoenix still had similar expressions in the Professor Layton VS. Ace attorney gameplay footage so I'm sure the characters will have a similar amount of expressiveness as they did in the 2D games.

@FonistofCruxis: yes. i will never knowingly give my money to Capcom ever again. Gamestop will get it instead.
