Topic: Persona 4 Golden Should Also Come To 3DS!!!!!

Persona 4 Golden had just been recently announced for the PlayStation Vita. Who thinks it should come to the 3DS!? Because I sure do!

After the ushering of the spectacular Ponysona videos, I'd love to be able to play try out some Persona for myself without having to buy a PS2 or Vita. Though I doubt they would be able to fit it on a 3DS cart.

I don't. I don't want a good game brought down by shoehorned 3D elements. I say just save up and shell out for a freakin' PS2 and get it on there. It's not like PS2s are expensive.

Yeah, it WON'T happen. While the 3DS is powerful, it's not even powerful enough as a PS2, the original console that Persona 4 ran on. And also, There is no way Persona 4 would fit on a 2 GB game card, regardless of how much compression took place.

EDIT: Also, Persona 4: The Golden is planned to have more features than the original Persona 4. Considering that Persona 4 can't fit on a 2 GB card, there is no way in the next 6 years that Persona 4: The Golden will fit on a 2 GB card.

They fit Persona 3 in a PSP. Sure they made some changes, but remember that the 3DS is more powerful than a PSP. So there's hope.

Very drastic changes that not everyone would like and might not work for P4.

Then why do you want a 3DS version so badly?

@TheUnknownGame The 3DS is more powerful than the PSP? Really?! I'm sorry, but unless you have solid numbers, I'm not going to believe that.

And Atlus regretted those changes afterwards, and stated they would not release a portable version of P4 unless they could keep everything in the game. And with the Vita, they can not only do that, but add a large amount of new content on top, content I doubt the 3DS would be capable of handling. Its just not happening.

New hardware > Old hardware
It's called technology and it tends to improve.

@thelastlemming That doesn't mean that the 3DS is graphically better than the PSP. The GBA micro released after the first wave of Nintendo DSs. Does that make the GBA Micro more powerful than the DS? Not at all.

@v8_Ninja Actually, Metal gear solid 3 is using a 4 Gb cart, so its entirley possibile that the 3ds could run it. The question is, dose atlus want to put a playstation game on the 3ds?

I'll have to say no. Personally, I think Persona 4 is already a superb game and it's fine the way it is.

Yeah but Nintendo likes to use old hardware for its new consoles. Without hard numbers to back it up, I'm not convinced the 3DS could handle some of the more taxing PSP games.

The PSP Warriors games, for instance, especially Warriors Orochi 2 and Dynasty Warriors 7, are probably beyond the 3DS' capabilities, if we use Samurai Warriors Chronicles as a guide for what the hardware is capable of.

Are you kidding me? Of course it is. Even SSFIV shows that. And that's a launch game.

On topic though, I don't know. I've never played any game in the series. To 'anime' for my taste. I wouldn't mind it though, the more games the better IMO. But I wouldn't care for it.

No problem. Thinking the 3DS is at the same level or under PSP is pretty ignorant IMO.

It's pretty much Wii level graphics with 360/Ps3 shader support. While the PSP is Ps2 level graphics. That's a BIG difference.

The 3DS is not capable of Wii quality graphics, especially not if the 3D itself is on.
