After going through these forums and a few others, I am glad to see I am not the only person who wants the purple 3ds to be launched. We have seen there will be 3 official colors, (red, blue and grey) and many of us agree that this is not enough. The people have spoken, and the people want purple! Of course , the other colors are fine too- and you may not even want purple, but show your support on the page and maybe, just maybe, we are not too late and can get Nintendo to release purple alongside the other three colors at launch.
Purple pipe dream? Maybe. But it's worth a try right?
The final design of the machine was TBA, so the whole 3DS will likely look not quite how we saw it at E3 (if Nintendo are using E3 for initial feedback, they'll likely note many people at the event suggesting that the D-Pad was slightly awkward to reach and rectify that). However, I'd love to see the 3DS launch with a more vibrant palette rather than the usual grey/black/white. The iPod Nano made chromatic sexy again, I'd like Nintendo to follow suit. Orange DSi for me, please.

Yea I know what you mean, I remember them saying that it wasn't final, but I also read in an interview that "we should be looking forward to this design:" I cant remember which website it was on as I have visited about a billion looking for any new news i could find
Personally I'd love the purple 3ds except to deal with the analog stick to make it easier to reach and the d-pad a little higher. (the purple one just screams "I am epic see my smexiness")
but unfortinately I'm not on facebook nor will I join any time soon (what with my gazillion other comuinity sites I don't want to lose half my life to farm ville (I have an addictive personality or gambling problems or ...something )
Haha, no prob marz, I feel like you- I was hesistant to even join a while back but I dont even use a cellphone or anything like that so I needed a way to keep in touch with everyone, this was my poison of choice.
With that being said, hey its the thought that counts, all I care about is getting this color at launch, and I will be the happiest guy alive lol
Knowing Nintendo, they'll probably slowly dole out every colour of the rainbow over time, so the purple will come eventually I imagine. I swear it's a scam to get people to buy more than one system, but worst case you can buy a case mod if they later release a better colour. That's what I did for my DS Lite after the black/crimson model came out.

Yea, thats one thing that disappoints me, i mean i get it, and I am sure there are many reasons- money, testing the waters to see which sell the most, to get people to re-buy- the plausibilities are endless, but it still sucks. BUT the only one I will need is purple, so Nintendo don't fail me now

When I don't get the color I want, I make it the color I want. But that is coming from the guy with various Linux distros, Solaris, and Windows all in virtual machines my window.
Lol, how'd I end up in that lineup? I never actually said I wanted purple, although I think it might be the best colour. I'm probably going to get the black/grey one though, so I won't be so conspicuous playing video games in public. I always felt half-ashamed to whip out my teal GBC, although I really liked the colour.
What the heck .... add me to the list. Purple would be my colour choice as well .... though at this stage I'm mostly just hoping for a larger bottom screen, or at least one that's the size of the DSi.
