Why would the 3DS not be able to handle a Gamecube game?
The 3DS is more powerful than the Gamecube, mainly in storage space, so it would be able to easily handle the largest of Gamecube games.

Did we all forget that Donkey Kong country returns 3D was a port of a wii game on the 3ds so saying that the 3ds cant handle this doesn't make sense.
Except that the game runs at a stuttery 30 fps and the Wii version ran at a silky smooth 60 fps. The 3DS version had to make a lot of compromises just to run. Not really a fair comparison.

I dunno, if true; I'll gladly take a TTYD port on the 3DS and I would rather see a remake of the N64 game. With updated graphics and such, that would be nice. Either way, such games let people complain about Sticker Star again... Yay...
y'know, up until now I've avoided Sticker Star because people hate it, but I've also heard quite a bit of hate for Super Paper Mario and have enjoyed that immensely, more so than the original. maybe i'll give it a shot. and on topic, I'd play the crap out of TTYD 3D since I haven't played that one yet at all. and I'd rather see it in 3D than HD. well having both would be nice but if I had to choose I'd go with 3D.
There's no question that the 3DS could handle this game. It's Paper Mario, not Twilight Princess. DKCR is a much different ( and most likely harder to port) situation than Paper Mario, and they even got that running on the 3DS.
As much as I'd love this to be real, I'm skeptical about it. Seems like a rather random game to just announce out of the blue, and the fact people online have supposedly 'leaked' footage of it (despite Nintendo being one of the most protective companies ever with this sort of thing) is just way too suspicious.
So, not really surprising anybody at all. These shaky cam pictures and videos of a blurry title or character select screen are getting tired. No one honestly thought it was real, at least from what I saw.
I lead the way through the great unknown! Never knowing what I'll find...
I'm searching, expecting, exploring, connecting... So no one has to feel they're left behind.
