I personally a bit pessimistic towards this game for now. Not sure if I'll enjoy all the changes such as no XP, overworld, sticker system etc. It dosen't really fit well with me.

But we'll see. Still one of my most anticipated titles

Not at all, I really have no interest in this game besides Bowser being in it and my favorite enemies, Magikoopas.

I agree that the first Paper Mario is my favorite and it's also my favorite Mario RPG overall, but it's not impossible for Sticker Star to be better. A fundamental goal for a video game sequel is to be better than the original and/or the sequel before it.

I'm actually OK with the map screen, as you pointed out that SMRPG also had a map screen. Hopefully the stages themselves are moderately long to make up for the lack of an open world.

Well for my tastes, being better than Paper Mario would make it one of my top 5 favorite video games I've ever played. I'm not expecting that. I expected that from Brawl and Skyward Sword and the fact that it wasn't actively hurt my opinion of those games.

I don't think it'll be worth it. I mean, in PM64 Bowser kidnapped all of the stars, and that was his reason to also kidnap Peach. But if it's like the NSMB games where it'll be "HA HA SHE'S MINE" and that's it, I'll be mad.

Oh, and if the main game is as boring as TTYD and SPM, I'm also not getting it. Glad it looks like a return to roots though.

I've played a good majority of the mario games except for the paper mario series but am getting paper mario for the 3ds.

Is paper mario much different from the other mario games?

Paper Mario will be my first paper mario game in the series for me.

So is it going to be like SPM in the fact that there is a hub type world and then levels that you go from point A to point goal on? I was hoping it would be more like the first and second in this way.

I agree. This is my most anticipated 3DS title coming out this year, but I'm still not fully sold on having no partner or XP and having the sticker system on a whole. You never know, though, the sticker mechanic may actually be better, but I'm still not convinced jet...

mario always gets a good rpg but not any good mario rpg on the wii sadly
