Topic: Owning two New Nintendo 3DS consoles

I have a black New Nintendo 3DS XL but I want to buy the New Nintendo 3DS with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle. I was thinking I'll be giving that to my sibling. If I did buy another 3DS console, do I have to buy two copies of a game if we wanted to play that game simultaneously?

If you talk about multiplayer: Unless the game supports Download Play for multiplayer, then yes you need multiple copies of the game. One for each player.

For playing the same game at different times: you can share one game card between different 3DSs, but any digital content is stuck in the system of the owner.

For playing the same game at the exact same time: you'll need multiple copies of the game.

Man, that's gonna be eeeeexpensive.
