Topic: Original 3DS Uncomfortable

I've had the 3DS for almost 1 year but I've had a problem. I can't seem to play it for longer than 5-10 mins at a time as my fingers cramp up due to the size of the system. I've noticed these grips online that are supposed to help but I haven't tried them. However before I do that I'm interested to know if the 3DS XL will be a better fit (so to speak) plus that bigger screen is really tempting.

Any thoughts?

As long as you don't mind the cash and effort involved (Which will probably run you maybe $20 if you find a really good deal) and you don't have any CPP games, you should go for the XL.

Make sure you transfer everything first.

The XL is much more comfortable on the eyes and hands.

The CPP helps me with my cramps.

The XL is not better.
You should get a CPP for games that are compatible.

But he got hand cramps.

I mean, test out a grip if it works for you, otherwise get the XL. I never get hand cramps (my wrists have been toughened up (or numbed and torn) from years of Stepmania) but I'd still prefer a bigger console, to the point where even with missed opportunities I still play Kid Icarus with the CPP excluding multiplayer (need to snipe).

I'm thinking of an XL, but I'm waiting to see if I can import one from Japan for only $30 more and use my NN ID to transfer my already Downloaded games to it and then access the Japanese Shop

They made it uncomfortable for a reason. It gives you NEStalgia.

That really depends on the size of your hands. Some people complain that the original 3DS cramps their hands, but many also claim they've never had a problem with it. Just make sure you try out the 3DS XL before buying it because its design isn't all that different in terms of the grip.

I swapped my 3DS for a 3DS XL, and the XL is so much better in my opinion. No fat wipes on upper screen. Round edges. Large screens.

I don't understand why people want a massive "handheld". I always stick with the original true handheld.
