Just ... no. Please go away. All of these operations are getting tiresome.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Much like Operation "Moonfall" and Operation "Rainfall"
How are those two alike? Rainfall is an effort to get more Wii games localized in response to NOA not releasing "core" games in the states, and Moonfall is a bunch of people telling Nintendo that they want to play Majora's Mask on their 3DSs.
As much as I would love this, I have to say that Nintendo is not the company opposing doing anything with SMRPG. Square Enix is at fault for it. They refuse time and again to allow Nintendo to use their characters (Geno and Mallow, mainly). We can beg and plead all we want, but Square Enix will remain a horde of heartless jerks who only care about Final Fantasy.
Why do these petitions keep popping up?? They dont work companies are going to release what they want when they want end of story. Please stop with the petitions people.
Um... Mario RPG wouldn't even work with the 3d effects. Besides, they're making a new Paper Mario which was originally called "Super Mario RPG 2". Also, you said it yourself, they've released on VC already which, to be honest, is a miracle considering Square's been a big jerk about Mallow and Geno.
If Operation Rainfall never works, at least we have one thing to thank it for; making the "Operation [Blank]fall" meme. Just watch, it'll happen.
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

Operation Rainfall was one thing. It was a good idea, and I'm still very much in support. Operation Moonfall was bordering on being a little much, and people should have known not to take the guy literally, but given that Aonuma actually said "if there's enough outcry from fans, it could happen," I'll let that one slide, too.
This is riding off the popularity of the first movement a bit too far, and instead of supporting, I'll do what little I can to actually oppose it. On the off-chance Nintendo does actually listen, look and care, and decides to take into consideration the pleas of its fans, if there are 12 "Operations" going on, NONE of them will be responded to. Nintendo will see them as the inane and childish babble of the masses. I want Operation Rainfall to work. I am doubtful it will, but I want it. This "Operation Swordfall" is in almost direct conflict with the goals of Operation Rainfall, and as such, I am in direct opposition to it.
On a slightly unrelated note... why do we have everyone complaining that the 3DS is becoming a home for little more than remakes of old games... and yet, those same fans do nothing but plead for Nintendo to make MORE remakes. Why don't you: A) Go download Super Mario RPG on your Wii VC, and B) ask Nintendo to collaborate with Square-Enix AGAIN to make a NEW Super Mario RPG. EVERYONE would like that more.
bravo good sir, I couldn't say this better if I tried
I never liked Operation Rainfall because it was just a bunch of people whining and complaining about a barren release schedule. Operation Moonfall very vaguely makes sense, but will have no impact on the outcome of anything. This, this is just a sad.
My opinion is split about these guys. The ones who lead the movement actually don't whine as much. However the more "vocal" supporters are the whiners

I'm always for fans voicing their opinion to the companies. Most people do it with their dollars but that doesn't always insure that you're getting what you want.
