Topic: Operation Swordfall - Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars 3D

Much like Operation "Moonfall" and Operation "Rainfall," their goals being to get Nintendo to make a Majoras Mask 3D title and localize 3 Wii JRPG's respectively, a small group has been inspired to take fate into their own hands. Being moved by the amount of support seen by the aforementioned Operations to grab Nintendo's support, I, as well as thousands of others would love to see this amazing game re-made and re-invented. Since this game was released at the end of the Super NES' lifespan, few got to enjoy the fruits of Nintendo and Squaresoft's loins, and a few even got to experience it on the Wii's virtual console. So come on everyone, Join the effort and help get this operation off the ground!

"few got to enjoy the fruits of Nintendo and Squaresoft's loins" Well, when you put it like that, it sounds like a good thing.

Yeah....

I guess that's another lead balloon to add to my repertoire. Still, it's always good to have some constructive feedback so both myself and others have the opportunity to learn from my mistake . In life, you've just got to roll with the punches.

Oh yeah, and to make this post vaguely worthwhile: petitions are a waste of time. At least in the video-game world.

Exactly. You would think that after the massive success that was Operation Rainfall (try saying that while keeping a straight face ) people would realize that these Operations were pointless wastes of time.

Operation Rainfall was one thing. It was a good idea, and I'm still very much in support. Operation Moonfall was bordering on being a little much, and people should have known not to take the guy literally, but given that Aonuma actually said "if there's enough outcry from fans, it could happen," I'll let that one slide, too.

This is riding off the popularity of the first movement a bit too far, and instead of supporting, I'll do what little I can to actually oppose it. On the off-chance Nintendo does actually listen, look and care, and decides to take into consideration the pleas of its fans, if there are 12 "Operations" going on, NONE of them will be responded to. Nintendo will see them as the inane and childish babble of the masses. I want Operation Rainfall to work. I am doubtful it will, but I want it. This "Operation Swordfall" is in almost direct conflict with the goals of Operation Rainfall, and as such, I am in direct opposition to it.

On a slightly unrelated note... why do we have everyone complaining that the 3DS is becoming a home for little more than remakes of old games... and yet, those same fans do nothing but plead for Nintendo to make MORE remakes. Why don't you: A) Go download Super Mario RPG on your Wii VC, and B) ask Nintendo to collaborate with Square-Enix AGAIN to make a NEW Super Mario RPG. EVERYONE would like that more.

I think remakes on the 3DS are worth nothing.

Love my 3DS, Fighting games and Zombies. Enuff' said.

This is getting ridiculous, next thing you know there will be a new operation either every two weeks or every week. I completely agree with everything Bro2dragons said. Operation rainfall was a good idea but if more and more operations are started, it'll be less likely for operation rainfall to be a success as Nintendo will probably look upon it as some silly little fad. If you're American and want those 3 jrpgs these people could be partly to blame if you don't get them. Super Mario rpg is a great game but the 3DS is being looked upon as platform with too many remakes by some people and this wouldn't help it. Remakes can be a good thing but it wouldn't be good if the 3DS was getting more remakes of great games than great original games.

Ark

What bro2dragons said, really. I'm quite opposed to the idea of Moonfall and Swordfall.

What I'm dreading is the inevitable Operation Waterfall (fans wanting a new Beyond Oasis game) and Operation Fall (fans wanting more games to be released in Autumn), leading up to the infamous Operation Pantsfall (fans clamoring for a remake of It's Mr. Pants! on 3DS).

I never liked Operation Rainfall because it was just a bunch of people whining and complaining about a barren release schedule. Operation Moonfall very vaguely makes sense, but will have no impact on the outcome of anything. This, this is just a sad.
