Check it out! The beginning hasn't changed at all! I love that they didn't change it, it's such a rush of nostalgia too....

I've watched it twice now along with looking up the original opening movie and I've got to say that it is beyond beautiful. That piano theme is magical.

I think I might just skip buying eShop cards so I'll have enough money to spend on the Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarus and Paper Mario.

I'm someone disappointed they didn't update the music/sounds at all and still have the midi music and somewhat lame horse gallop, but I GUESS it's for the better.

This is intended to be a nostalgic trip Hardy83. It would have ruined the unadulterated nature of the original Ocarina of Time if the music and the cantor of the horse Epona had been changed. I really like the otherworldly almost etheral feeling of the strange haunting piano melody the way it is and I wouldn't that changed for anything in this world.

Well said, Tokyo! I feel the same way, I am glad they are updating a few things, making the world seem more lively, but glad they are keeping the music and everything the same, those are some beautiful midi's!

actually, real nostaslgia would imply to play it on the original N64.

for a remake, i expact time spent on new content and graphic/music update. i dont want to feel like buying the same thing AGAIN.
give us what squaresoft did with Final fantasy 4 and crono trigger !

I feel sorry for every person who will never play this game growing up. This remake looks awesome and I already bought it. I wonder if this has the Spirit Temple clip at the end like the original.

To each his own my dear friend.

However, for the record, it is my humble opinion that things remain the way Nintendo is going with both Star Fox 64 3DS and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS.

Not only do these titles give todays generation the same wondrous experience of all our yesterdays but it is also a way of not stirring the troubled waters on the part of Nintendo because Nintendo executives know that you can't please everyone and therefore they're not even going to try. Instead of stirring up the hornets nest by upsetting those who would no doubt send the Big N angry letters if Nintendo were to tweak, adjust and tamper with this or that in such a fabled title as Ocarina of Time the minds at Nintendo have chosen to take the road less travelled this time around and I think that this is a wise choice on their part.

Aww man. It brings a tear to my eye that music. It was the first thing I played on my N64 all those years ago.So beautiful. I would sometimes just leave that intro running in the background for the music.Me and my girlfriend loved it. Good times
Man I can't wait to play this now.In fact I might just fire up the gamecube collectors edition on my Wii.

What's this bit for again?

Ohh, that is so touching to hear man. I love it when we have moments that touch us and bring us to tears. I think it helps to keep our hearts tender. I definitely like that musical theme. It's one of the best in video games ever.

Unless you plan on not using a walkthrough in the Water Temple, in which case it won't be.

Water Temple is easy. All you have to do is find the Map & Compass. After that it's really up to whether or not you pay attention.

...And then there's this version's help videos, if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't really get what was so hard about the water temple, i beated it easily (easily != fast) when i was a 9 years old kid with zero understanding of both english and map reading.

I actually like it, as i do with pretty much every water based level on any video game.

Already preordered this game <3

Real Men beat the Water Temple, with out walkthrough!
and also, I didn't know about walkthroughs as a kid, so I beat it, the hard way.

I still have OoT for the GC, maybe I should play it a little, but I'm not doing it for Nostalgia.
because, Nostalgia is for the weak!

This. The Water Temple isn't hard at all, it's just tedious. Especially when you compare it to Twilight Princess's Lakebed Temple.

Anyway, the opening is pretty disappointing. I can't say I'm surprised, but isn't this supposed to be a remake?
