I registered, but what exactly is the point in this?

The username is just what you use for logging in. Your actual name that it shows people can be shorter.

I just joined. I'm not able to upload my Mii face yet so I'm using my Nintendo Life avatar.

I count 5 still, but then again I can't count.

For those wondering:

This site is for connecting with people you met through streetpass. You can make a custom url such as passid.ca/bogey and put that as a Mii comment (in streetpass plaza settings) so people can go to the website and get to know you more- however much you want them to know.
It's another 3DS community but one that emphasizes on streetpass. Pretty neat I say

....Was hoping it would be something like causing your wireless router to act as another 3DS or something so you can add to your puzzle collection or whatever. xD

Alright I'm not sure what this site does either cause James description on the Nintendo Life group is a little misleading. Manage to join NL group and befriended everybody that I know for sure is on my friends list. Did location search and found 3 people in my area had already joined a local club. Befriended them and added their FC's. Maybe they will add me back maybe not. :/

You can upload your photos from your 3DS directly onto the site, that way it saves you having to mess around with your SD card just to post your QR code and mii photo. Hope this helps.

It would be nice if it left a message with people you have friended so they know they can add your 3DS code. Ive added those on the Nintendolife group that I didnt already have on my friends list. So if you want to add me back feel free.

i thought it was something like nintendolife could send us spotpass now. that would be a very cool feature. maybe nintendo should consider something like that.

Even though there doesn't seem to be much functionality to it yet aside from StreetPass opportunities, I joined. And I made a group for 3DS Virtual Console fans!

I too was hoping it had some sort of message feature ... that's why I wanted this group for NintendoLife on there. There's so many of you who put those short 16 character messages on your Friends List, and I'd love to talk to you more about it. (Still wishing NL would let us message each other {hint, hint} but I don't think that's ever gonna happen.)
Still, it is nice to see a bit more about the people we talk with on here. I'd like to be able to get into Sammy's sister Soba's ID, so I can learn more about her, since her Friend posts are funny and she's not a part of NL.

PassID is very basic, but it has some potential there and if they decide to add a messaging system to it, it would be really usefull. Afterall, I would never know that Sammy is a Fedora wearing Chicken loving dude and I somehow feel better for knowing that.

Passid is useful because it helps you to find people that owns the same games as you. This can be done by joining a community dedicated for a specific game or by reading the profile of others.
