So a few minutes ago I tried joining one of the people on my friends list in Mario Kart 7. I chose Wiggler with the Standard Kart, Mushroom Wheels, and Gold Glider. After "preparing to spectate" for a good 4 minutes or so I was taken straight to the preperations for the next race without spectating at all (not even the one-second spectating you may get when spectating at the end of a race).
When the race started, I immediately noticed that this wasn't my combo. I was suddenly my Mii in the B Dasher with Slick Tires and the Flower Glider. When I checked, I noticed that the person I had joined was not in the race anymore, so my guess is that my friend disconnected at just the moment I had connected, causing me to get his kart combo.
Has this happened to anyone else?

and thats probably what happened. play again to make sure your mii isnt corrupted. i joined a community, it messed up and corrupted my mii.

One time in Resident evil, my teammate quit when I went to see my weapons, and it loaded a blank screen, and pressing B (which leaves the weapons menu) got me out of the blank screen.

speaking of mk7 glitches, when joining my friend in a community, he quit. Then when i raced, on the bottom screen every character head was his mii! freaky~~

Playing games online ends up with strange glitches pretty often... it's the nature of the thing: the developers can't test every possible scenario that can happen when you're playing online with other people, so you end up with weird glitches (even ones that may only ever happen once).
That's an interesting glitch. If you were really mean you could troll everyone so that the next time your friend plays everyone else will be throwing shells at him.
there was one time i raced where everyone was Mario except for me. took forever for me to join in the first place, and then it disconnected right after i crossed the finish line, lol.

No, I think that's a cheater.
Obviously yes, but how could only one person cause some many things at once? Unless there was more then one doing stuff in the same race... But still I've seen hackers during races many times, and they usually can only do things to themselves. This was quite a different situation.

I saw a video once where a hacker just threw tons of bananas around. Then again, this was on the DS version. Maybe you just got lag?
Once I was racing online and I lost. I think it was a glitch.
