I think I'll be fine with my regular Nyko Power Grip. Haven't run out of battery using that thing all day yet.

Exactly.

Question: would you have to replace the back of the 3ds like you do with other power grips? Because if so, wouldn't it be pretty inconvenient whenever you wanted to play something that didn't need a circle pad?

Just let it happen.

It serves as a protective case and looks like it offers a more confortable grip, I don't see why would you want to remove it at all.

Bloop.

This will abolish my 3DS ritual curse of swapping between CPP and NITHO Lithium-ion battery. Thank you Mr NYKO

That is nice. Usually I dont by third party stuff but that is just too nice. I was thinking of picking up the cpp but after seeing this I just might hold off. Hopefully Nintendolife does a review on that thing.

Anyword on the price compared to the cpp?

If it's anything like Nyko's regular Power Grip, it will hold a separate charge in the grip itself and charge the 3DS though the induction port, like if you kept the 3DS's charging base attached to it all the time. No battery removing/warranty voiding needed, which is what drew me to the regular Power Grip in the first place.

Exactly.

Ok so Nintendo came out with an ugly things that take out power and cost battery and Nyko came out with somethings that look a little better, put more power in your 3DS and is about 5$ more than the official one... Hummm let me think what people should buy first...

Sorry if my english isn't good... At least I try :-)

Well my question now is are they going to make one that will fit the 3DSXL now?

Any idea of a release date for this? I still have yet to crack open Resident Evil Revelations cause I am waiting for this thing to be released.

I'm pretty sure it's set to release in October.

I hope there's an XL version of this. Even though the XL improves the battery life over the original, it would still be cool to have 3X the battery.

I don't have the original NYKO power grip, so do you think it's worth it for me?

I dont have the original and am I going to get it. But than again it depends if you want the second circle pad. If you have games like Resident Evil Revelations or Metal Gear Solid 3 and a few others that make use of the second circle pad than yeah its worth it at least IMO. Thats one reason I haven't opened my copy of RER.
