I don't mean to call the other Legendries clowns... but compare Giratina's majestic lore to Kyruem... its obvious whose better..

III, IV and V were ridiculous. Gen VI was like a breath of fresh air with only 3 legendaries (possibly 6)

X and Y do feel a little barebones, but I believe that the third version/sequel will be packed with extra content and great little things.

Crystal, Emerald, Platinum and BW2 have all been great and very improved compared to their original versions.

It's just that it seems game freak limits itself with the initial releases to leave the good new/returning ideas for the third version.

What is the difference between Pearl and Platinum?

You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

the story changed, there's the battle frontier, move tutors, IV Judge and some other stuff(don't have the game but I know some of the things that changed)
Diamond and Pearl are comparable to XY in post game content(comparable, but still kinda better)

goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

is it worth it to pay 20$ more to get platinum than Pearl?

@unca_lz: well, if they used all the good ideas for the initial releases nobody would want to do the double dip for the third version

Fun fact: the "third version" of the first gen is actually Blue, not the Special Pikachu Edition.

Pokémon is were Capcom got the inspiration to make ultimate versions for already released games. but Capcom went overboard with it....

Maybe Capcom stayed in the first gen of pokemon, where they would sell you the same game four or five times but with a different color.

Blue version was the "third" version back in the day? Never knew that. How strange.

In Japan they released Red and Green first (with ugly sprites and super bugs everywhere). Then they released a third improved, nicer looking version named Blue.

The rest of the world got Red and Blue, based on the improved Japanese Blue version.

Ahh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I always thought the green version was just simply changed to blue when it was released in NA.

The yellow version is still my favorite.

Well first of all I've played W2 already and it's pretty good since I was doing a Pokebank challenge and X/Y only has 4 legendaries to catch and that's it. Can't it just be clear that Z is just a rumor?

If I remember correctly... Zygarde barely has any good backstory in X/Y. I think Gamefreak is gonna make him the star of the show in the next game. HOPEFULLY... they will follow PK Platinum's formula for PK Z.
