I think Mowzle may have been asking what happens when you win Nintendog cup champion inevery contest with a single dog.
Yes, I know, but like I said in my previous post, since I haven't done that yet, I don't know what would happen.

@wobee:-That little video of the Mario room purchase was a real eye opener of just what can be unlocked. I was beginning to feel the game was not worth the effort I'm putting in, but that spurs me on.
@Tj92:My question was a bit dumb really, my apologies. It's early days yet, but I suppose I was curious to know how Nintendo would maintain momentum with the game. I didn't play Nintendogs on the DS.Dido has taken third place in the junior disc throwing competition THREE times now We've practiced in the park, alone and with other dogs around, and she will come back when called even when distracted.But... when it comes to competition she jumps and catches really well, but then plays with the disc and won't respond to calling which means there's only time for a couple of throws. So I guess it's just a matter of plodding on, unless I'm missing something out of the procedure. I've read the rules of the competition several times.I don't generally give her loads of treats during training, except one at the end - she's plump enough.
Still can't think of a better place to kill some time.Playing Solatorobo and Pokemon White.Waiting for Animal Crossing 3DS - it's taking forever.

Just tap the screen like mad and your dog wil give you the disc eventually (they may even growl at you when you try to take the disc!)
Oh look! A Morphloggery.
Oh! eShop Gurus.

@abgar:-Thanks abgar for confirming my suspicions.I was trying that when we practiced in the park late yesterday, and it seemed to me that I was getting Dido's attention. Then I thought I was imagining it, as it doesn't say anywhere that is a way of attracting your dog's attention, but now I'm certain. It actually works quite well, and avoids people thinking you're crazy talking to your 3DS in a public place The other thing that made me chuckle yesterday was seeing in the video, about the Mario room posted by wobee, that piggy banks need to be broken to find money inside. I had a piggy bank given me as a present, couldn't think why I'd need one and so I sold it for £10 at the second-hand store for extra food money.me lives and learns, but not quick enough

One thing Abgar forgot to tell you was if you want to train them to give you the disk right away, you need to pet them whenever they bring it back.
166. Posted: Mon 18th Apr 2011 16:51 BST
@Tj92:-Oooh! Right, I'll try that, thanks.
167. Posted: Mon 18th Apr 2011 17:18 BST
Oh yeah petting them before taking the disc is recommended, but you shouldn't do that on contests, because it's time consuming And you can do that with pretty much any fetchable item, too!
piggy banks are great, i got 30 dollars from one the other day.

O_O That's awful! I admit I think my dog looks better without the crown too, but I'm not going to sell it! I would never do that to my dog, we worked much too hard for that crown!

does anybody know if there will be even cooler new rooms than the mario room?i almost have the 4000€ to buy it, but i would rather have a warmer looking room. like darker and with more wood. can i unlock something like that? like a zelda room?
171. Posted: Mon 18th Apr 2011 21:30 BST
Doubt it. All the easter eggs in the first party games so far have been Mario-themed. There hasn't been a single Zelda reference yet.
172. Posted: Mon 18th Apr 2011 21:36 BST
and as for other rooms? is the mario room the last unlockable?
173. Posted: Mon 18th Apr 2011 22:07 BST
I unlocked the Mario room last week, and I haven't unlocked any more since then. I hope there are a few more rooms to unlock, I want another space room!Does anyone know when Nintendo is going to start giving out special items through Spotpass?

Well, in the original games you could unlock 5 new rooms, the last one being unlocked at 40000 trainer points!I'd like to assume that nintendogs + cats includes at the very least 5 unlockable rooms.

You mean there are mario karts in this game too?Nice, they were in the originals too. and they were the only real exlusive items on the games (you could only get a character on each version and they were unique to that version).
