I have that trouble as well, but then I think, "Tough!" and just get on with it. When I start talking baby-talk to my pooch my husband just laughs.

LOL@victori...! i go thru the same thing, only diff is that i dont notice when my partner is in the room and my puppy is being soo damn adorable! ppl at work are also starting to think i am wierd!

Midnight is having some trouble winning the Nintendogs Lure Competition. I guess we need more practice...

I started Nintendogs a couple of days ago. I probably wouldn't have if I hadn't been following this thread. This game is fantastic.

I took her out for a walk today and she decided to play in the puddles! So Dirty!

I finally saved up enough money for the Fancy Home! Anastasia loves the new fire place.

I love the back yard, it's full of Bushes, flowers and Fountains!

My parents have a Bichon that's pure white. It gets about as dirty as this one... well maybe not quite. When Cloe played in the puddles she was rolling around in them.
When I went to give her a bath all the soap suds turned black.

Oh yeah! I forgot I was saving up for the fancy home. I'll get right on that now.

Awesome house Wildvine53, what version do you have? The only (non free) options i have are the oriental room and a very pink "fantasy" room. I want that fancy room!... And that top hat!

Does anyone know how to make dogs gain weight? I noticed this morning that Anastasia dropped from Skinny to underfed. I feed her twice a day, and give her lots of treats but she keeps losing weight! any tips would be appreciated.

I'm still in the very early stages of the game, and wondering how you save up for goodies. The Nintendo manual that comes with the game says you can sell stuff in the secondhand store, but I'm assuming you earn worthwhile money by winning competitions. Is there any other way?

@Mowzle Thanks! Competitions are the only way to make serious money. In the original Nintendogs there were a few items worth a lot of money, but there no other way to make money other then selling and Winning contests.

To make a pet gain weight, you must check if it needs to eat on its profile. (only 2 servings per day are not good enough for a nintendog!)
Using wet food will also help (it makes them get fat faster than normal food, just don't over use it)

And yes, contests are the main source of money, but even the lowests levels give a good amount!

I just won the Nintendogs Cup in the Disc Catching Competition!!!!

Yup! You get a crown as headgear when you win a Nintendogs Cup! Midnight is the queen, and she deserves it, after all her hard work!

On other news...

In the original nintendogs there were two contest comentators, the serious one and the funny one.
The serious one got the mii treatment, and it's the only one presenting the contests now.

I was wondering what happened to the other one.... Until now.

I got to the Barc shop in town and there was the Vinyl disc "Theme 1" (spanish game, i don't know if that's the english name), and inspecting the 3D model of the disk i saw him!
He's on the back of the box, i guess he is a jazz musician!
(The theme is also very sweet, it's a Jazz remix of the original theme)

Too bad you can't take photos of items i would show it to you.

I buy all the records that I've found so far. I really like them. A few times I swear my pets were dancing along with the music. It was really weird. But I can't get them to do it every time.
