@grumblegrumble - Well, if you have the extra cash, I guess it's okay. Really though, it's not that much of a ground-breaker, even if it's a nice pick-up and play every now and then. There are bigger and better games, in my opinion.
I bought it because it was only $20, thinking I'd give it a shot. If you're really into it, I suppose there's a lot of stuff to unlock, but for me, it seems like the same thing every time: Feed the dog, walk the dog, bathe the dog, maybe go to the store and buy some supplies. If you have StreetPass and SpotPass turned on, you'll meet new characters and their dogs.
I got the first one on the DS when I first got the DS played it a few months and that was it. After awhile it just gets to repetitive for me. I did however order the french bulldog and friends 3DS Nintendogs and Cats for my son but that was only 5 dollars from Best Buy online so even if he gets bored of it I can probably trade it in for alot more than 5 bucks.
